  1. Anyone have today's pitching sked?
  2. Not gonna happen. Tennis and NHL commitments(Red Wings/Bruins on 360, Davis Cup on One)
  3. Pacific viewers will get the Jays game, as will East and Ontario.
  4. No. Western viewers are blacked out due to a Oilers/Canes game. Canes are playing a day game.
  5. That has more to do with NHL issues. Blame the schedule makers who scheduled the Oilers game this afternoon.
  6. The odd-year curse for the Giants strikes again.. how does a team like the Giants manage only to be good on even numbered years, yet have awful odd numbered years? Regardless, Pence is expected out until May.
  7. Uh oh, the dreaded 3 words:
  8. Understandable. But I still stand on my stance on Bumgarner.. after all, the Giants basically ran him out there frequently just to get that World Series ring(including Game 7 on short rest out of the bullpen). Without him, Kansas City probably would've won.
  9. Got to agree with that. However, Bumgarner's workload does concern me.. after throwing 270 IP last season, he is a candidate to regress.. Giants fans should be concerned. And considering what's going on with Minor in Atlanta, Teheran could be a risk as well.. Also note the 3 former Red Sox on the list. Otherwise, Verducci needs to get with the times. Things are different now compared to the old days..
  10. Although it is uncertain that this is proven, here are the candidates for the "Verducci effect" in 2015.. forgot about this: http://www.si.com/mlb/2015/02/03/year-after-effect-madison-bumgarner-yordano-ventura Of course, Verducci is full of it.. we'll wait and see if anything actually happens. Only Bumgarner really worries me.. he is the best bet to decline or get injured. As for the Jays on the list, Stroman shouldn't be on the list--Verducci forgot he was in extended Spring Training during a suspension. So he's fine. Plus, Norris hasn't thrown that many innings yet.
  11. Oh great, Atlanta wrecked another arm? I mean, they already ruined Beachy and Medlen.
  12. How about that Marcus Semien? Although the numbers are inflated by Arizona, he's already up to 7 RBIs this spring, and is really impressing in Oakland's spring training. Of course, we'll have to see if he does that in the regular season..
  13. Stroman likely came out due to pitch limit, which is not uncommon this early in spring. And thankfully, we won't have to see Kawasaki much at 3B..that throwing error didn't help.
  14. Tigers need relief help... again.
  15. Billingsley to the DL until late April: http://m.phillies.mlb.com/news/article/111094224/right-hander-david-buchanan-has-no-issue-with-flying-below-radar
  16. Potential oblique injury for Castillo.. good news for Betts!
  17. Sox beat a college team 2-1. Porcello and Buchholz had good outings.. but it's difficult to evaluate vs. college teams.
  18. Jimenez was garbage, as were Oliver Drake and Eddie Gamboa. All three of these pitchers just increased their chances of a DFA after these terrible performances(they're all on the O's 40-man.)
  19. Hey, it's former Jay Brad Lincoln! Has he ever fallen..
  20. Nice job by Lopez. He just helped his chances of making the bullpen with that inning. Of course, it is early.
  21. Then it'll be Gregory Infante and Miguel Castro to finish it up.
  22. Elias Diaz with a solo shot off Drabek. If I recall, he's a catching prospect for the Pirates.
