Then he's going to have to hit this year.. Kevin Plawecki is close to the majors. And D'Arnaud's September numbers were inflated by out of contention teams in Miami and Cincinnati, especially the Sept 2nd and 5th games, where he had 3 hits, against a regressing Alfredo Simon(Detroit is going to get BURNED on that deal..) and Brad Penny.. let's see him put up those numbers against real major league talent. And not to mention, he needs to stay healthy..
Even if he hits, he may end up moving to the outfield if the defense does not improve.. he can't throw anybody out(his SB numbers have gotten worse since he reached the majors, likely from trying to frame pitches so well at the expense of defense, too many WP and PBs, and of course, frequent injuries behind the plate.
