Looks like we're going to be waiting a while. Looking like 8:45 EST for the rain to stop.. likely a 9:30 start. Time to watch the Red Sox play Texas.. don't expect the same performance like last night.. Steven Wright isn't Ed-Rod (who BTW, is getting another start as a reward), and let's hope Wright's knuckleball doesn't get pummeled like Dickey's usual is..

After working so hard to get to the majors after losing his top prospect eligibility, Yankees OF Slade Heathcott is injured AGAIN.. Grade 2 quad strain. Ramon Flores got recalled.

Of course, the Marlins half of the trade hasn't exactly worked out either.. Miami still stinks, and Marisinick is playing for Houston now, Alvarez is hurt, DeSclafani got traded himself to Cincy (possibly even worse trade.. Latos has been terrible.), and Nicolino is still in the minors and not exactly putting up eye-popping numbers.

We got hosed on that trade, that I agree. The problem is that the fanbase demanded we do something big back in 2012 to get us into contention.. casual fans weren't going to wait 3 years for Syndergaard. Now if only the Mets position players could hit.. they're near the bottom in offense, and that might be an issue considering they're chasing the Nats in the NL East.

Impressive debut by Eduardo Rodriguez in his first MLB start. (7.2IP, 3H, 0ER, 2BB, 7K). He'll be enjoying that win on the plane ride back to Pawtucket.. until either the Red Sox cut Miley or Kelly (they have options), he's likely heading back to the minors.

Uhh.. they just lost 3 straight to the Twins. And despite Ed. Rod's performance, it was against a lefty-heavy lineup. Unfortunately for him, he will be rewarded for his first MLB win with a demotion back to AAA Pawtucket, likely never to see Boston again until the Red Sox blow up their roster in July when the team is 10 games out of contention, or with the Phillies or Reds or someone, when he's traded in a desperation move for an expensive pitcher.

Bogaerts got hit in the wrist. Peguero PHing for him, with Holt moving to SS.. Boston fans better hope Bogaerts didn't break his wrist.. Bianchi isn't on the roster anymore, as he was DFAd, and their only healthy SS in AAA is Devan Marrero, who isn't even on the 40, considering Mike Miller, another infielder, would be in Portland (AA) if Jemile Weeks and Sean Coyle weren't on the DL and is not a prospect.

Tampa is plunging in the standings. They just lost their 5th in a row.. Yanks lead the division.. for now at least. -
Bit of a setback there.. but the rest of the AL East isn't exactly inspiring confidence either. Rays and Red Sox swept, O's still to play.. and we're still only 4 back. Hopefully we can attack Minnesota's mediocre pitching.. and hopefully limit their offense, which has been very good (ask Red Sox fans right now..)
