    Max got lit up for 7 runs over 3 IP last start. Was hoping for more of the same.

    Whatever happens this season it’s been a treat to see these found innings from Ryu looking vintage. Master class of quality goo and command.

    A few people in and around the game are grimacing and chuckling about Manoah. His attitude only works if he is shoving (and that baseballs...not Mary Brown's deep fried chicken). How about Antony Recker who had the audacity to imply that he would be wise to consider being in a little better shape, back in Feb.

    I listened to B & B and Wagner. Doesn't sound good. I'm not that surprised. Some dust has to settle on this and Manoah has some explaining to do. At the end of the day, if he doesn't f***ing pitch better again its all just useless drama and irrelevant. He will be talked about like Jays fans do about Ricky Romero, only with disdain.

    I just find this team meh. I attended lots of gms in dark times from Calgary 1994-2014 and 2017-19 in various cities. I enjoyed them as much if not more than this year. Its obviously related to expectations...but also team make up, style of play and performance. They are 8th in attendance right now in MLB. Maybe tonight its packed again.

    I know. I will. Its all been business stuff in box and a couple games with bro/Hudson and local bud who has 4 season seats in TD clubhouse we mooch off hosted by him. I can't just invite other people to them as much as Id like to lol.

    Why so few I wonder? Strange. This is a good team but its been a tough, pretty unexciting watch most of the season. I think I'm 2-6 in person there this year. Which is why I won't make the trip there I was planning for tomorrow.

    0 point in trading or releasing Manoah. That would be stupid. I'm all for giving him a pass on his hissy fit and getting a chance to get into better shape and work his way back with no drama out of the spotlight. It was a stunning fall from grace, and I have empathy on how badly it would feel. But he has to suck it up. Its about how he handles it going forward that matters. I always thought it was a bad decision for the org to join in with casuals over blowing how he actually pitched, even in 2022. All the hype and opening day starter over Gausman etc. Most of us knew a lot of that shine would come off eventually with his underlying numbers. Even if we didn't see this coming. He is a potentially very valuable asset we have to protect.

    I'm not one for the quick hooks but he was grinding all night. Didn't have his best stuff. No swing and miss. Why leave him in against Heim at 95 pitches?

    I used to like it. Less than baseball but watched a lot. Then it was just mostly Sun and Mon games. Now Sat Sat Mon Thurs, NFL package. Plus the betting app stuff and fantasy and pools. I have friends who are so lost deep into it. Their wives are always pissed at them. Once I had kids I had to pick obsession's to avoid divorce (twice), and chose to stick with baseball.

    Huge sweep heading into the final push! Gods were with us on those 3 wild pitches. Talk about a big series starting tomorrow.

    17-19 was pretty lean for the Jays. Steve Pearce come from behind grand slams etc we clung to. Crowds were mid. I think the net net difference for the Jays vs O's is the excitement around Bo/Vlad coming up and we were "competitive" in 20 and 21, 2 years earlier only than the O's. As a fan in the dark years from 1994 to 2014 I'm a believer this fan base would put up with any well developed and communicated FO plan that made us a perennial upper echelon team. No matter what the course to get there. Before anyone jumps down my throat saying we are already, the next 2/3 years are getting a bit hazy for this window facing some major decisions, and the back end of some FA deals.

    All the machinations are just that. Pointless. Win and in. Just pile up as many W's as you can. Each of the remaining games are a playoff game for all intents and purposes. I'd rather be sitting pretty on top of the D like the O's but this is going to be heart stopping drama for us Jays fans. I am going to try and enjoy it without cardiac arrest.
