    He hasn't pitched badly. 3 dingers not great but overall impressed with his stuff. RC tough park to start off your career in and Navarro and the Ump haven't helped him much.

    Glavine made a career out of getting those pitches off the plate. Almost impossible to hit.

    um..good point...although the last 30 days (sans last AB) he has been more selective.

    That's absolutely true. We may THINK that. There is no guarantee in "showcasing" Navarro that you will increase his trade value. It may decrease. Case in point his performance thus far today.

    . He and Reyes without question swing at more pitches out of the zone than any other in our line up. He just cant lay off.

    Thanks. I have to retract my comment from a month ago or so calling Collabello the 2015 Francisco. He has already given us a lot more quality ABs than Juan and has shown an ongoing propensity to take what a pitcher gives him. His D sucks but he is working hard at LF and for an IF he is doing ok. Ride the wave. He should sit today against a RHP and give Boyd a better D with Carerra.

    Martin had 2 days off last week. Boyd's first start. He could really use a premium receiver and strong D. So play Navarro tomorrow. DH Edwin and put Smoak at 1st. Could even look at giving Collabello a day off and play Carrera for D with RHP.

    I get day game after night game and all that s*** but Martin had back to back days off last week and this is a rookie pitcher who could benefit from having a real f***ing C to throw to. Navarro costing us Smoak D and ABs. Put in Taco Bell tomorrow (yes I know he is Venezuelan)

    Going to be (has been for most part) a fun season. We will see who wins the arms race.

    Travis looks fine but lets not get ahead of ourselves calling him a "future superstar". The 24 year old has 150 PAs in MLB. He had a nice return yesterday.

    pessimistic...this offense is showing more versatility 1-9 in scoring runs and will get to Yovani.
