  1. Just electric. I can't wait to go to LA for 3 gms this month. AA has gone all in and I'm still not believing we could have an IF of JD, Tulo, Travis and Smoak playing behind David f***ing Price. Waiting for an E-Rex rampage to happen. He is hitting th ball hard last few games.
  2. Haha. I'm just basing that on our FA history which includes a 5 year max. I don't think the risk/reward justifies the deal it would take to sign Price. He is a rental and they did it to make a push this year. The cost was high but will be accepted moreso if it works.
  3. What a series. Props to RA and another 5 run nite. I"ll take 3 of 4 all day long. Can't wait for tomorrow.
  4. Anyone suggesting we will sign Price is out of their mind. Jays ownership is not going to give him the 5+ years and Scherzer ish like money. I'm ok with that. We will have to target a front end rotation SP and look at moving Osuna into that roll and hope that Stro is what we think he is. RA has been on an excellent roll and as bad as he was to start the year, AA will be forced to consider the option. Mark B won't be back and I will miss him. For now, focus is on making a run 2015 where it should be. This is now a vastly improved team over 2014.
  5. A lot of heavy games still to come against MINN and the AL East. That arm that wasn't great today will be needed and effective all said and done. It's one game.
  6. Tough one today. Mark B was good again and makes that play on the E 95 times out of 100. Let's hope RA continues to pitch as well as he has been Sunday. Bats were solid today. Feels like playoff baseball.
  7. Valencia has a bit more versatility and will hit more than Colla all said and done. I liked him as a piece and someone else will grab him. As others have said there has to be more to this. Carerra?....no issue with this move.
  8. We all keep wishing but we all should know that dog just ain't gonna hunt. As long as he can play + D, get the odd hit and lay down a decent bunt when called upon(he is one guy who gives up an out when he walks to the plate anyway), he will be ok filling in for Travis.
  9. Either 1 or 9 works. We just went through most of year with Reyes whose BB rate was also way down.. 310 is OBP so although Revere doesn't walk enough his speed negates that negative some.
  10. This makes me nuts. Colla gave us more than we could have ever asked for. But after AA speaking in off season about the revelation that D matters and renewed emphasis with Martin etc playing Colla on the field is egregious. The ONLY way he can play is off the field against LHP and on the field @ 1st if he is mashing which is he no longer is. Loved the guy and the story and thanks for the big knocks, but it's time to move on. D matters.
  11. On this Board I'm suprised with the relative popularity of this deal. One top prospect for a rental of Price's pedigree with this offense, and now improved D with Tulo is a reasonable Price to pay. Flags fly forever. AA has balls if nothing else and he will live and die by the sword on this likely.
  12. Last night was great, but some guys getting so excited about the debut (some even squirting apparently) makes me chuckle. Headline on Sportsnet MLB is "Tulo performance is why Jays made trade". Whether he started 0 for 22 or did what he did last night we know the reasons for the trade and a few ABs good or bad doesn't change anything in evaluating the deal. I would like it regardless.
  13. Another great start for RA...he is on a roll. Welcome Tulo!
  14. You know its a good night when our glove has two hits.
  15. They aren't going to. Going to come down to how we do against AL East the last 30 gms if we can hang in there.
  16. Tulo and Bautista click to put up another run.... I like the sound of that. nice job.
  17. There are sooo many inappropriate responses to this statement.
  18. I really think Tulo should learn to flat foot throw those easy ground balls.
  19. cmon...that's what he "profiles" as lol I think he profiles as an excellent 4th OF
  20. RA putting up yet another good outing so far. Like nectar watching Tulo hit his 1st Jays HR.
  21. True story. I always felt Reyes was an intense competitor and I liked his loose joking personality. I am sure his teammates did too. He was as fired up as anyone in a tight game and the first guy on the field to congratulate them on a big play. He simply got buried under the weight of age and the expectations of an expensive deal vis a vis past value levels he could no longer attain.
  22. not sure but I think he got lit up and banned over stuff in his "reyes sucks at baseball" thread.
  23. There are some replacement level and above names Hech and Lawrie in there I like, but I don't get too excited about that list. Syndergaard hurts the most. End of this year we will have gotten 1200 IP out of those starters and an absolute stud in JD. Tulo it remains to be seen. The issue is health.
