  1. I think BBBB said all that needs to be said in his own 'Toon town way.
  2. For sure they are a very good team bud. momentum can change. If we win today I like our chances.
  3. Escobar had wRC+ of 67 this season and his numbers are so off the charts for this series. They are good but not this good. So sick of this "Royals baseball" mantra. They are hot at the right time and we ain't. That's post season baseball. Lets hope Marco can cool them off today and we play good D. Agony and ecstasy depending on where you line up on hot or not.
  4. Martin not having a good postseason on 0 or D. He has hit a couple balls hard right at people. Still prefer going with his talent over Navvy. Haven't forgotten his 3 run bomb against NYY to ice their Division hopes this yr.
  5. For sure....95-97 fairly consistently.
  6. The stat line on Volquez wasn't good at all - LOB 100%. 5 Ks and 4 BBs. But all the players and the ex players commentating were talking about his velocity being up and great movement.
  7. Not trying to prove a point in saying that. I was thinking your arguments that a move to 1B was premature were really solid.
  8. Good. Was arguing with you about this other night. His D numbers this year are way down...cant just be his arm. He has been awful aside from what appears to be a recovered shoulder.
  9. ^ in bold. I actually think he is bipolar. He is either twitchy erratic like when he pulled RA up 7-1 against TEX to insert Price or in Game 3 when he burned all our high leverage arms in a game we were way up in..... OR he manages like we are in the 3rd game of a July home stand where we won the first two.
  10. Another old guy here and when I wrote that about Escobar I was going to mention Borders....Scutaro and aging Renteria. In a short series someone has to get smoking hot for you and its often not the big bats. We need to pitch the games of our lives and we need some crazy hitting...a guy or two need to get blistering hot. I don't listen to Reynolds. I just cant. Makes me throw up in my mouth.
  11. ^ Simply put. Yup. They have to get back to playing like they were for most of the 2nd half RFN.
  12. Escobar having series of his life. Maddening. He isn't that good. We don't have anyone in our line up....yet....red hot like they are.
  13. Penny can SH so maybe there is a chance he can also throw LH'ed?
  14. Ya, not likely tomorrow also. Bad luck here.
  15. Gibby just said Loup wasn't available...he left before the game. Wasn't aware of that.
  16. Agreed. All criticism of pen mgm aside...this is truth.
  17. To me that's the shame here. He mailed it in with his pen choices after a brilliant performance of Hendriks picking up RA. Last night he goes all in with the best of our pen with a big lead. He obviously didn't see us coming back in this one.
  18. He can pitch back to back games and if we win tomorrow they have an off day.
  19. Is that the acid test? Gibby was a pro ball player.
  20. Face in palm. Shoot me. No. Check that. Shoot Gibby. Lowe should have followed Hendriks.
  21. Yup. Hendriks> Sanchez and I've thought for most of the season.
  22. I know the KC pen is tough but Hendriks was awesome. Only 3 runs down with our O. We needed to play to win this one. Such a shame.
