  1. For sure. I have no issue with Gibby leaving Price in. He was cruising with a low pitch count for him. I don't like the decision to go with GB sanchez over Lowe or Hendriks when he did finally pull Price. Whatever....lets get them in gm 3.
  2. HRs are a big part of our game but not the only part. When we bomb people cheer and when we lose always this ^. Our big hitters don't just hit HRs and they can hit it out in any park...they don't need to change anything. We had more big run comebacks than any team in baseball.
  3. He is a fast hacker who doesn't BB a lot and has no power. You are comparing Goins to a guy who led the NL in hits before....and who hit well for us? There is much more chance Revere will get 3 hits next gm than Goins.
  4. OPS for a guy with speed who is there to get on for the big boys isn't a great stat for his value. He has had a rough couple games but he is the type of hitter who could have 3 or 4 hits on Monday.
  5. I agree with the momentum shifter...he had set down 18 in a row and there was a one pitch one out for the 19th. It totally energized the crowd and KC much like Tex faced in our house in Game 5. But Price has to do better to stem that tide. He completely let it go and I don't blame Gibby for leaving him in with all those LHH. I didn't expect that meltdown and we didn't have Cecil to shut them down. Oh well...get them on Monday.
  6. 6th run? How about the 5th run? The Gibbyaffair with Sanchez continues and instead of a K we get a GB....right up the middle. Lowe or Hendriks in that spot for me.
  7. Well....that really sucked. Tough inning for Goins and worse for Price. Got to come back now the long way again without HFA. They can do it. One at a time.
  8. s*** without his V now. He touched 97 at one point this year. Not sure what's up with that?
  9. Nice gun Martin! Let's get out of this and take our shot.
  10. This in on both. Rhythm and momentum....it shifts. Goins E started it. Price took it to the bottom. Sanchez shouldn't have been in when we really needed a K. Ok....now we need 2 to tie. Lets go Jays!!
  11. Goins play started it all....but Price cant let that happen. They are both responsible. We are in tough now against this pen. Need to get out of this down by only one. BTW I don't get why Sanchex is in.
  12. You just knew when Goins duffed that one pitch first out we were playing with fire....frustrating.
  13. Lets get out of this up 3-2. C'mon Price! How are the low pitches strikes for us and not KC?
  14. oh well ya know...its only one game ya know....Navarro is one of our best hitters ya know....and Hawkins, well he can still get it done ya know and we will get em tomorrow. I'm a Gibby fan, or neutral at least, but every gm in the post season we need to use superior options. Off day Sunday.
  15. ^ this. And going to Hawkins over Hendriks only down 3 runs with an off day tomorrow. Would have liked to seen our guys get a look at Davis too last night. Not pinch running for Navarro?
  16. He has only had 2 starts since sept 26th. I'm not that worried and yes....he is our ace. Still very odd to me he didn't start game 4 or 5 as an ace when we have seen Kershaw on 3 days rest and Dallas K on same pitch key gms for their teams.
  17. It will be interesting to see who is coveted more. The guy who puts up a 4.3 WAR very few Tor fans think is sustainable vs the kid on the cusp of MLB with more control, and where they are trying to access his unproven value level.
  18. He has had 3 rough outings consecutively going back to his last home stand Sept 26th start. He has only pitched a handful of innings in 3 weeks. They have given a rental an incredible amount of rest and insist there is nothing wrong with him health wise. I'm confident he will show up today. If we can take one of two that's huge.
  19. Yup. I didn't think we tore the cover off the ball into bad luck. We hit a few balls on the nose into outs. They did too. Cola hit 2 into the OF but he is the last guy we can complain about BABIP luck for. His is over .400 Volquez didn't have a good stat line but the players and former players on every broadcast were talking about was his V, movement and corners location last night post game. He was able to keep us from getting any big hits. Just lucky and/or good??....we didn't hit much and scored 0. Looking for them to bounce back today and a big gm from Price. I love Tulo but I am more concerned than I ever thought I would be. He looks lost.
  20. Just watched MLB' Top 100 plays and Pillar's Superman catch in the last series against TB was #7 and his Spiderman catch was #1 of the season. Nice to see him getting that kind of recognition around baseball.
  21. ....using Hawkins over Hendriks again cost us a chance to come back and also to get some swings on Davis.
  22. ... I know the BABIP. He has been doing that all year with leaving runners on base. We got 2 singles.
  23. Junks? at 95-97 with movement and a pretty good breaking ball. We hit a few balls fairly well into guys but he was pretty solid.
