    Yup....got it at a key time in that rally too. We can work with that. I think Martin is a sleeper. He will wake up today and do some damage.

    Going to assume Price pitches well. Its essential. I think Edwin has been having good ABs overall. The other 2 not so much. Production from catchers on both teams hasn't been close. Revere started with us in one of these funks and then busted out on a rampage. Lets hope that starts today. Lets go Jays!!

    Fair enough. That makes sense. I want us to win sooooo badly. I still think we will. KC was red hot since Game 4 against the Astros, and I think Marco cooled them. It was bound to turn. Escobar isn't a .500 hitter FFS.

    Don't be an idiot.... The Cubs, Cards, Astros etc. have all been good teams. Its playoff baseball.

    Thanks. I think they win Game 6 and we have a very good shot in Game 7. Still feel we will win this series. Trying to be philosophical about it. Even if we lost Fri night this team will have given us 11 of a possible maximum 19 playoff games and a ton of excitement and some great ball. No matter how it ends now, 2015 is a success.

    Agreed. Coin flip on he or Reynolds as most annoying. Hudler is painful.

    About the only 2 things everyone I ever knew could agree on was #1 that Stieb was an ******* on the field and often off and that #2 he was really really f***ing good at pitching.

    I am glad we didn't have to use him but I agree. If Cecil was around we would have seen him up @ that time. No LHP puts Gibby in a tough spot in an elimination game.

    He might and I hope he has been duly tested. I care about a level playing field and consistent rules. As a Dad I'd prefer a non roid environment. Played football and saw what it did to some guys. Wasn't good.

    You can. But at least he is a converted SP now pitching for 1 to 2 innings and he has been doing it all season. Different than Volquez.

    It wasn't his velocity that let him down in the 6th. He was still pumping 97-98 to Jose. The ump gave us a break on that call.

    I was opposed to a QO (not that it matters) but Estrada has convinced me he is worth it when I look at the rotation next year juxtaposed against the costs in the FA market and the fact that we blew the arms wad with the farm for the run this year. You brace to have to pay Estrada the QO. And you still have to acquire someone else for the front end with Stro. Not sure of the timing on the RA option but that's material. The fact that we get a pick or we have an over market one year deal with him makes it palatable risk wise.

    Don't want to be paranoid or accusatory. I hate to take away from a guys performance unwarranted. But Im puzzled. How does Volquez add a consistent 3-5 MPH to his FB in later innings late in the season? Whats the policy in the playoffs on testing guys? Is there any? Yost says its just adrenaline from the playoff atmosphere. Maybe for a few pitches early but I don't it would be sustainable.

    He reached base 3 times last nite and came within a foot of an oppo taco.

    In a NY second. I'd take Fergie Olver over Reynolds. And yes.....his calls are so over the top but they sound more legit in French lol. Reynolds is beyond annoying. I find it interesting that watching games I even have casual bandwagon fans texting me saying "who is this fking guy?!". They pick up on it.

    Not much of a fan of it either BBBB. We are still very much alive this season. And once you make the playoffs it's a crapshoot for the most part anyway. Issues such as unforseen injuries (like Cecil's) create scenarios than can have a big effect on outcomes.

    Plus I really want to hear the French radio broadcast of it again if he does something big. Their call of his 3 run shot to ice the NYY division chances was the best. Haha.

    ^ this. He has frustrated us all some but a guy like has a track record and can turn it around quickly on 0 and D to make a big positive contribution.
