  1. Fugly at bat by Freddy but credit to him for putting it in play with 2 strikes. Wasn’t looking promising lol
  2. His Dad rarely ever took a pitch lol
  3. A lot of umps are dicks about guys giving them the look. Vlad does that. It’s bs but they do it. I remember when Bautista was in his prime and he did the same with such a great eye. Study was done and he had more borderline pitches go against him than anyone else in AL. Looked like Vlad had two go against him last AB.
  4. Watched Moneyball again and listening to the audiobook. Probably been discussed before lots but got me wondering about "WAMCO" and what would have been a better constructed line up in '93? Curious what some of the smart guys on there think? Looking back at White's and Carter's numbers this am. Fk Carter was so over rated its shocking when you look back. Career 102 wRC+ 17 WAR and a .319 OBP in 93.
  5. Jeff Blair (eye roll) said today scouts at that game he spoke to after his last outing said they were going to take a hard pass on Giles FWIW. Blows.
  6. His last outing it was so clear a blind person could see Giles didn’t have his stuff. Topped out at 95?
  7. Yikes Vladdy. Ugly AB. Giving me Pillar flashbacks.
  8. In a season of mostly fandom misery it’s been awesome to watch these kids come up this year. Congrats Bo. 2nd ever pitch and base hit. Makes me feel nostalgic for when I watched so many like Raines and Guerrero SR come up and Moseby and Barfield...then Delgado and Doc etc etc. That excitement rekindled.
  9. I knew someone would point that out. True. Didn't he still struggle against LHH in the pen? I still dont think he has gotten better and I don't think he would be an elite reliever.
  10. Elite no. He had the mid-late relief role in 2015. He had a FIP of 4.61 and LHH chewed him up. I don't think he has gotten any better. Who wants a guy in high leverage that gives up that much hard contact and BBs so many hitters.
  11. Sanchez fading. 2 balls squared up. Can’t blame Biggio on the ball Choi hit. Rocket. Love to see him get through this.
  12. Ya. Reece chewed up that AB by tough lefty. Biggio out.
  13. LOL....that made me laugh. spoken with your "flair". Fair points but man he was over rated. Sitting Olerud so he could play 1B is a face palm. But I''ll never ever forget Timlin flipping it to him on 1B off of the Nixon bunt or his line drive over LF in 93 and "touch em all Joe..." which was as big as it gets. So I get why he is there 100%. Sigh....I want that again. It was awesome. f***ing 2015 KC ******** calls etc etc etc etc
  14. Pretty cool to watch this SD ATL game with 2 young CANADIAN throwing the ball well.
  15. A lot being made of one start. Most teams aren’t flippant enough to make major decisions based on one start and a non pitching arm strain. They are going to look at body of work. Lots of season left and another year of control.
  16. It’s hard not to like Sogard at bats this season.
  17. You might want to edit ^
  18. Lol. Hate Sanchez.Always have hated him. Nite hit Jansen. Back on the bicycle.
  19. That FB to Edwin was meat. Right down the middle center cut. Who didn’t see that coming? Tabby going on about “this is a good sign” is nauseating. He has consistently been lit up in big innings due to a lack of command and then grooving succulent morsels for hitters. GTFO.
  20. “Boras wants sanchez in the rotation”. f*** off. Same old Sanchez. Pattern continues. Lit up.
  21. I think I just came reading this.
  22. Someone please sacrifice a goat to protect Stroman from bad jobu.
  23. Ya. For sure. Drives you nuts when a bat like that owns you.
