    This is a good take I agree with but it’s a bit frustrating. Who knows what next year brings? Will Vlad mash again? Who will replace Marcus’s production? Injuries. Is Pearson a bust? How will Ryu do another year of age on the arm? How and at what cost will they inject more quality arms into rotation and pen? How do we improve the run prevention? Each season brings its own questions. Big pictures don’t work out more often than they do with so many variables. A debatable argument was makeable that this team was good enough with moves to push. Just have to have faith in the FO.

    Glass half full on this team is becoming really difficult for any fan. It’s math. Rather than consistently playing good baseball we have to go with hope all in on a major hot streak, which we haven’t produced all season, to have a wildcard shot. 5-5 last 10. Just not getting it done as playoff odds drop. I don’t expect any big moves to add wins. Frustrating season.

    Cruz, obviously depending on cost, is a stunning move. A 150 wRC+ DH? Sign me up! Yes, we need more pitching and they are hunting hard for that. Cruz is just a beast and extremely consistent.

    He does. He posted a pic with her at Niagara Falls recently. I like rowdy. Hope he does well unless its against us. Not too optimistic.

    This is a certainty. We lose a series to Mariners who we are chasing. We win one with Tampa who we are chasing but in both series lost a game we could have fairly easily flipped to a W. Now we are hoping to salvage a series win against the O's. For a wildcard we have to play pretty close to .600 ball the rest of this season now. 38.5% chance. The FO knows this. Just a question of how much they want/think we are for real this year and how much they want to give up.

    He did. I watched the famous 2015 Gm 5 vs TEX playoff gm again the other day. Gibby had Goins sac bunt with 2 men on in the big inning. TEX did the wheel play on a s*** bunt (of course it was...just because Goins was a s***** hitter doesn't mean he was a good bunter) to Beltre who fired it to Andrus for cakewalk out at 3B. Of course Andrus dropped it thankfully and the rest is history. We remember most Jose's smash and the W. Gibby was better than Buntoyo obviously but he had a better team. He pulled some bone head moves too. We got lucky on that one.

    Matz seems like a tool as a person to me, but he isn’t a horrible 5th starter. Frustrating guy to watch. He struggled to finish guys off tonight. Command issues make him prone to getting too much of the plate.

    The ol' "back on you" playbook. I know a lot of people like him because he is outspoken. I have respect for that quality, but I think he is a douche. 34mm AAV for 1.5 WAR so far? I guess if you are LAD you look at that salary as a playoff start(s) investment. Not sure how thats going to turn out.

    Just watched that Thursday night with my 13 year old who hadn't seen it before. What a classic lol. Hear a lot about Donaldson like that. Got to take it with a grain of salt given the Austrian (see what i did there?) is a pitcher and JD is public enemy No. 1 with some of them now.

    Just do the math on the remaining season and the wild card. Sure. IF we play outrageously good ball for a long stretch we don’t NEED a sweep. That’s kind of obvious.

    I agree. Said he was locating well. Mixing in everything and missing middle of plate and getting chase away with tantalizing poo.

    Crazy to watch this s*** baller throw 80 MPH pitches away and the furthest hit ball between Bo and Vlad is half way back to the pitcher. So predictable but can be so hard to hit. He is locating well so far.

    Such annoying crap. Ray wasn’t even getting calls on the black and that pitch to Biggio was 2-3 inches inside. Huge bad call. Nice job sitting back Grichuk.
