  1. It really is. I’m tired of the excuses for umps about how hard a job it is. And then it’s the fault of the strike box and not the umps etc etc. It is a hard job and they are well paid. Who cares? The game is what needs to be protected. Not the umps. There is a simple solution for it. Robo umps.
  2. Nobody I loathe more than Odor but that was a disgraceful strike call on full display on Sunday Night Baseball. Ump show. ********.
  3. Barnes in for 3rd game in a row for the Red Sox to close out the Yanks. Regardless of outcome, I guess some teams value sweeps and aren’t satisfied with 2/3. Who knew?
  4. Why worry about it? I mean if we take one of 3 what more can you ask for? I mean we tried hard and never gave up and Houston is a tough team. So proud of my Jays. Little engine that could.
  5. Tabby seizes on Maldonado “strong hands” This is the key to catching foul tips.
  6. Mods. Please lock thread I started and provide me with appropriate penance requirements. All is lost.
  7. I agree with this. Then I met Charlie. I think negative WAR manager. How much is highly debatable and apparently impossible to quantify, but a 1-3 Wins to this point important. A lot of people around baseball (not always a good barometer i know) are shaking their head at Montoyo.
  8. Vetrin presents. Nice job Panik and Reese to start it off. That’s a big comeback W.
  9. How did he get on top of that high 98? Slashed. Nice Bo.
  10. Charlie post game comments: “Well why we are only talking about one game. We won one of two. What more could we ask for?”
  11. Welcome to the bigs kid. Adversity to be faced. Was listening to ESPN broadcast said that last start he threw 10 pitches dead Center of plate none got hit by the Yanks. Different story tonight.
  12. Devastating. We haven’t come close. 2 strike count and we are DOA.
  13. Consistent Grichuk fapper here. New ballgame Alek. Go get em.
  14. It’s hard to watch. He has swung at balls the last two games that almost hit him. Why would anyone throw him anything over plate if Vlad wasn’t behind him?
  15. Ya. Bo is an exciting hitter and great bat speed but the league is only ever throwing him any strikes now because Vlad is behind him. He has to reduce the chase.
  16. Still “fatigued” unfortunately. Haven’t heard a solid update.
  17. What a huge boost to the line up Gurriel being Gurriel would be.
  18. Longest case of "fatigue" I've ever seen. Can't wait to see him back.
  19. I get it. Could live with 4.7 BB/9 with his stuff....Dolis is actually 5.5/9 BB to contrast. We cant live with a 100% BB rate like the last couple outings lol. Chatwood's career BB numbers makes Charlie's decision to leave him in, even when a blind man could see he lost the zone, even more egregious.
  20. I don't think so. His stuff plays out of pen. He is using his cutter a ton more. Good movement on his FB and 95-97 V is consistent for him. I think he will be a high leverage guy for us again...once he finds the plate lol.
  21. Bump. He has got mechanics and between the ears issues going on. Low leverage until he gets back on track. And if Charlie would have taken him out like he should have yesterday, no room for Chatwood to pitch another fit over it. Just Pitch better. Our pen is too thin.
  22. That answer makes my head explode. We just lost 6 in a row. Our competition has won 15/16. It cant be just good enough Buntoyo. We need to have some sweeps to offset above. We cant put all our eggs in a basket that we will play .800 ball against the O's and DET, as the NYY just experienced.
  23. I get that you like to be a contrarian on the board. But this is mission impossible. It doesn't make sense. Charlie's one job is to play the chess pieces he has to create the best probability of W. #5 makes anyones point who thinks Charlie acted egregiously leaving someone in who has repeatedly lost the zone, while not having Castro hot, at a minimum. If a pitcher cannot locate a strike repeatedly its just not wise to leave him in when you have alternatives, and an off day the next. Our team today is literally a league laughing stock after lasts nights debacle.
