    3-7 last 10. Not going to relax until we dig ourselves out of this, if we can. Every loss just means more you have to do in the games that remain. Eventually you can run out of schedule. We are chasing solid teams.

    Obviously I’d rather play sub .500 teams, like we are, but putting so much stock in the schedule change has always been risky. Rather than closing series wins and sweeps against the Indians etc etc we are now in a position where we have to run the table on these teams. And we just don’t have arms (or bats at least tonight) to dominant them either. Just a brutal stretch.

    Going to need a bunch tonight. Hopefully Ray can get a few more efficient innings in. 25 pitches was not how I drew this up. Jays have to get to this starter.

    Ya. Fair. Over statement. wRC+ around 100-105 and negative D value. He is worth .5 wins so far. You are probably right he ends up around 2 wins.

    Early on in season listening to baseball central and Jeff Blair jerking off to a RF single says “Grichuk is going to hit .300 this year” lol. As if that’s means much and as if a Grichuk hot streak lasts 162 games. Look at his wRC+. Regression to the mean. He is what he is always. Basically a replacement level OF on offence and D.

    I’ve taken to just opening the MLB app post game with one eye open to peek at the score with a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. Which then gets worse. Below .500 June 17. Ugh.

    Springer please. Grichuk stepped in well and did what he does. But here we are mired in what he also does. Worth 0.6 WAR and 104 wRC+ Gurriel has been better lately but 76 wRC+ neg WAR. With our pitching sadly we need more offense and better D from the OF.

    Strip is a better option at this pitch count than any creature from the depths we will get from the pen for the 7th.

    f*** man you are the eternal optimist. Ya he is a piece of cake. No problemo. We got this! Jays are going to give me a stroke this year. This is not enjoyable lol.

    I'm equally pissed at both about this. Yes, the pen is horrible and yes so are a lot of Charlie's decisions to use said horrible pen. We are ruining an otherwise great season.

    Love his stuff. Really been good since 2019. Remember when we broke camp with him and Osuna. Would i rather have Carl Williams or Castro? Not a hard choice.

    I can’t really blame Charlie. I probably would have given Stripling another hitter with his pitch count and effectiveness. His pen is a f***ing disaster. We scored 5 which should be enough but our RISP hitting was atrocious. We could have buried them. Biggio K with runner on 3B and 1 out was critical. One could go on. Ya the park sucks and affects outcomes. But it sucks for both teams. I don’t really see how it helps us to focus on. It’s not going to change.

    Watched JD hit a long shot off Chapman in the 9th yesterday and then freak of nature Nelson Cruz turn around 98 to hit an even bigger walk off bomb. Just wow. Not for the PED episode Cruz is a HOF'er. To be creating this consistent EV at his age is unworldly. The only other that I can think of off of the top of my head is Papi. Was good for my soul this am.

    Wasn't he a GG finalist? (face palm) Its painful to watch him helicopter off bad routes out there. My AAA 13U year olds in Baseball Alberta take better routes and I'm serious. Neg WAR 2021 so far. This guy is 28 and his only OF asset on D is his arm. He is worth 3mm AAV but this has been one s***** season overall thus far for him. He is hitting better lately but I expected more on O and D.

    Thats really interesting about Sarris. Im surprised. 99/100 seems a long way from 94, but if can keep that movement with more V his secondary stuff will be that much more effective. Its a good problem to have that he has been pretty effective without maybe his best stuff yet. I dont really think its been the pitch calling and this guy has enough mojo to shake.

    Whats guys take on Alek Manoah so far? Tiny sample size but he has been a bit underwhelming. Work in progress as expected. V is an issue and his secondary stuff just doesn't look filthy. Too much of the plate on too many pitches, and hanging a lot. FIP over 5 and BB 4/9. I like the movement on his FB. I didn't expect him to come up and light things up but thought his stuff and command was better.

    The Yo Yo season continues. Good outing last night finally. Lets hope he can get on track. If Pete Walker and Ray can figure out how to get 13 Ks and no BBs in an outing maybe there is an answer for Chatwoods lack of command at times?

    It may be discussed elsewhere but i just heard the audio of Gerrit Cole being asked if he used spidertack in a game lol. Jesus i don't think i have never heard a more stumbling bad answer = DOA I'm glad MLB is cracking down.

    7 games out 5-5 in last 10 TB 7-3 BOS 6-4 That sweep in CLE Charlie handed to a wild Chatwood to finish off...was kind of important. This division is tough.

    Bo has played a lot better D and his bat speed and the pitches he can reach are abnormal. He has basically only had 1 full season of PAs over the last 3. Still young and worth 1.5 fWAR in 21. The league is figuring him out. Love to see more plate discipline and swing control. He is our franchise kid middle IF. If Vlad wasn't behind him.... 19 - 212 PAs and 142 wRC+ 20 - 128 PAs and 122 21 - 251 PAs and 112
