  1. You were all thinking we love this match up with Vlad right? For sure. He loves the heater. Smash!
  2. Yup. Good decision on Dyson pinch running. Randal with a nice swing. Man would love to see him get hot. We’ve seen it.
  3. He almost killed Tulo with it and put him on the IL. Lethal weapon.
  4. So true bud. The bright lights of New York in the playoffs making that flip play to home, diving over a tarp etc etc. On the other hand some burn out under that bight light. Winning rings makes a big difference in perceptions that overlook flaws. Joe Carter is an over rated and hugely beloved Jay for some of same. My 13 year old son was blabbing to me last night how over rated Jeter was on D etc. He has been pouring through stats etc. Love to hear that! lol
  5. SEA continuing to defy gravity. I find it hard to route for HOU but in this situation I must, not that it affects any outcomes...ever.
  6. We blew so many this year. Ok using Romano. Need to nail this one down and not f*** around.
  7. He patted his glove after he picked it up with his hand. On the throw. Pet peeve when coaching. That’s all it took to be late. Luckily they got it done. f*** you Red Sox.
  8. So nice to see us benefit from this cheesy park.
  9. Every time Marcus gets me to cheer for another great play he makes, I soon come to a sober realization I’m increasingly cheering his odds of leaving us in 2022 for a massive long term deal. Oh well.
  10. Props to Springer. He is a gladiator. But let’s see Kirk. I can’t watch this.
  11. Not that we know of. He was dealing. Buntoyo 4D Chess. Just using our lights out swing and miss pen to its max.
  12. I get the LHP and RHH and 3rd time through with who was up, but Ryu was dealing. At 80 pitches. I would have rolled with the Korean with a 3-0 lead. Let’s hope this pen can hold up and get the 8 more outs we need.
  13. Nice to see Pearson get some swing and miss yesterday. Wasn’t leverage. But still a good sign and confidence builder.
  14. Ray is mind boggling how well he has thrown with pretty much 2 pitches. They know what’s coming. It’s 93-96 FB and a slider getting 47% whiffs. RHH after RHH swinging over top of that down and in slider. It’s been phenomenal to watch a guy who used to have dominate stuff and be wild just become just dominant.
  15. Fascinating. So weird. But Perez and Molina are always in the HOF convo. Molina is a lock. Russel Martin has 55 career WAR. Perez has 15.
  16. Ya. W is all that counts. Hope Soria gets it together. Going to need him.
  17. What an at bat and approach Teo. Wow. Beautiful swing.
  18. Ya, thats fair. Romano has a 29.3% whiff rate on his FB. Will be interesting to see where Pearson gets to. Romano's slider looks pretty lousy since the crackdown. Doesn't have the bite, and he is throwing it a lot less consequently.
  19. Pearson zero command. Pitches catch too much of the plate. Gets behind and has to come in. He got some back luck last night too, but 97 (inch or two outside) and 98 were squared up well off him. He hung a slider meatball. Even the GB for the DP to 3B was hit pretty hard. Not missing bats. They need to keep finding spots for him and getting him out there. I cannot see him learning anything more in AAA. Anyone else got some thoughts/numbers on what we saw? (Cant stop watching Jays in 30 this am on PVR lol. I love seeing and hearing that crowd excitement. Brings back good memories. Awesome)
  20. It only counts as one W but it was f***ing awesome and so far biggest of the year! Wow.
  21. Manoah has a lot of movement. Hard to control when he comes inside. That sucked. Couple big hits for them with 2 strikes. More work to do for the offence.
  22. Huge RISP moment here. Nice play in LF.
  23. Your earlier post said it well. We won the lottery in 21 with Ray and Marcus. Manoah was manna from heaven. We knew Vlad was good eventually but I didnt see a 170 wRC+ coming in 21, and he stayed healthy all year. As was Bo. Pretty incredible. I'd say Pearson was in "show me" territory coming into 2021 and he didn't. But i don't think expectations were as high for him. Losing Springer probably cost us 2/4 wins overall for season but our comp can make same case with top guys they lost.
  24. I think TB, NYY and BOS could make a bigger list in this category and they are still sitting on top of us. - Glasnow - Voit/Severino/major COVID IL - Sale/ major COVID IL Just a few of their notables. Some regression seasons from the likes Kiermaier and Clint Frazier etc etc. On balance, Jays had a f*** of lot go right in 2021. Hard to repeat that.
