    It's incredibly offensive. Not everyone is privileged enough to afford to be wearing downy white sparkling clean socks every day. I promise you these exact same people would be crying about it too. They'd say it implies white supremacy or something. They will always have it both ways.

    I don't think the length of the series makes any difference. Being a wild card team cuts your chances in half regardless of the number of games.

    Tiebreaker, in other words exactly the same situation as now. The 2nd wild card actually ended up being irrelevant this year.

    Here's an interesting factoid. This is the first year since 2012 that the 2nd wild card became irrelevant. There are 2 ties for the wild card, one in each league. The teams with the better head to head record will host a game, and the winner advances to the LDS. This is exactly what would have happened pre-2012.

    Well s***, you should have told Gibbons this so he could sit all the regulars yesterday. Now we have a 25% chance of winning instead of 75%.

    The division champ parties are bad enough, but this is ridiculous. They're literally on the brink of elimination. I really wish they would save this for winning the world series.
