    The entire basis of that rumor was a f***ing Buck Martinez interview on MLB Network, lmfao. He said Cleveland wants Manoah, Moreno and Martinez. I'm gonna guess Buck had two too many day drinks before his TV spot. I put zero stock in anything he thinks he knows.

    Yeah Blair tweeted out that there was a scout following Kirk around all day and that they would look into what team he worked for. Confirmed later it was a Guardians scout. Not completely insignificant since it's not like the Guardians play down the street. Their spring complex is in Arizona so this was clearly something they went out of their way to do.

    There are certain things we don't appreciate in life or that we take for granted. Like the Blue Jays having a clear need at 3B but letting Eugenio Suarez go to the Mariners to spare us from having to hear Buck pronounce "ay-you-hen-yo" 12,000 times in 2022.

    It's easy to trust this front office after what they've shown they can do, but they aren't bulletproof either. This could easily end up looking like the Roark deal pretty quickly. Hope for the best, though. Glad the deal is front-loaded.

    He could be better than Ryu. The problem is that they won't get rid of Ryu and they won't move him out of the rotation either. So now there are potentially two anchors back there instead of one, both making big dollars and likely getting a really long leash in the rotation.

    I agree that my first reaction to this was "I'm really surprised this isn't a minor league signing." I have no idea why you would commit a major league roster spot to a guy like Vasquez this early in the market. I guess you could still release him if he sucks in camp.
