  1. At this point, the Jays should just try to get Braun.
  2. I understand, but if they still expect to give up legitimate prospect value for a pitcher, does the upgrade from Reyes to Tulo justify the price of Hoffman+? Hoffman could have been a key piece in a trade for a big arm. I don't think that the difference between Reyes in Tulo is all that significant in 2015.
  3. The only thing that concerns me is that after they gave up Hoffman and Castro, you still have to assume they're going to look for more pitching, which means even more of the farm will be dealt. I really hope this doesn't turn into a 2012 thing. Or maybe they're thinking of flipping Tulo? There's probably a really low chance of that, but it could be a possibility.
  4. It's funny how I almost made a post yesterday about how I wouldn't trade for Tulowitzki because his injury record disgusts me, and while that's true, I still lost my s*** when I saw the at-bat alert for this trade. That being said, please come back Jeff
  5. HOW ARE JOSH DONALDSON AND TROY TULOWITZKI ON THE SAME. f***ING. TEAM? http://lenoirauteur.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/yaaaas.gif

  7. WHAT THE f*** HAPPENED LAST NIGHT? Why did I go to sleep?
  8. It's idiotic that it was even a question of Syndergaard or Sanchez. I wouldn't have even done that trade if it was d'Arnaud and Nicolino (had he still been with the organization). And it's not like it took us years to figure out that it was a terrible trade, everybody could see it at the time. We couldn't have signed him in the offseason. I don't know why this fact seems to be so difficult for some of you to register, but free agents don't want to come here. They have to be forced against their will, and the only way to do that is through trade.
  9. We don't necessarily know that. Maybe the Mets insisted on Thor over Sanchez and it was a deal-breaker otherwise. That trade was still f***ing stupid, and I hate so much that it happened. I never even wanted to give them d'Arnaud, but the moment Syndergaard's name came up, the phone should have been slammed shut. ********, terrible trade.
  10. There's zero question on if Edwin's option will be picked up, but I do think they should explore trading him and possibly tack on some cheap, team-friendly years at the back of Smoak's deal. I also think they absolutely should QO Buehrle, even though I don't think they will. I feel like he probably wants to be with his family and his dogs enough at this point that there's no way he'll accept a QO to stay in Toronto. He'll either reject it and sign cheap somewhere else to close out his career, or he'll retire. Worst case scenario, he miraculously accepts the offer and you have a solid back-rotation piece for next year at a decent price.

  12. I think Ang would like to tell you guys that he thinks you're f***ing racist. You have no respect for third world countries because of your superiority complex. And you know what? Suck his dick. Suck his dick until there isn't a drop left to be sucked. Or was that suck "a" dick? I couldn't decipher which specific dick needed sucking.
  13. Exhibit A of why the media should refrain from being such ****s all the time: Tweet Astros made in 2014:
  14. For all the people who were excited about the Tigers, O's and Rays dropping out of the race voluntarily, the Orioles have decided that they're buyers.

  16. This is so f***ing trippy. God, I hate Robert Murray. http://i.gyazo.com/13552717be7869f8c60c5c4cd88d4ac1.png
  17. So the Jays just had 16 of their last 19 games on the road, and their record in those games was 6-10. They'll now play 16 of their next 19 games at home (with the three away games being at Yankee Stadium), and then begin another eight-game road trip with a two-game set in Philadelphia. If they feel like they have a shot at contention and they want to make a real run at the playoffs, the time to act is going to be now. In the perfect world, they beat the s*** out of the Phillies and the Twins and get some upset victories over the Royals, before going to New York to take at least two of three from the Yankees. If the Jays do that, they're probably near or above the division lead after the first week of August, and they have some momentum going into another six game home stand against the A's and the Yankees. If they falter at all in this upcoming home stand however, their chances of making the post season will become virtually non-existent, because at that point they'll have to hope for a Cards/Braves, Red Sox/Rays type September collapse from the Yankees, and they'll have to win a s*** ton of games against the AL East to catch them. If the Jays are really buyers, they should make a move in the next three days instead of waiting until the deadline, so they have the best possible team going into the Royals series.
  18. TFW your team doesn't know it's an off day. Maybe Gibby runs their twitter account. http://i.gyazo.com/f578091b9e5b527df43752041671d65e.png
  19. You mean the stench of Donaldson, Martin, Stroman, Osuna, and a stacked farm system? Well... that would be true, if it wasn't complete and utter ******** instead.
  20. John Gibbons is legitimately a s*** manager right now. Maybe he's always been and I've just been oblivious, but benching Travis and bringing in Tepera and Loup ahead of Osuna, when RODNEY is warning up in the pen and you have an off day tomorrow, none of those moves can be justified with any logical explanation. I don't really care whether or not they fire him because most managers are just as bad and make just as many questionable calls, but Gibbons is terrible at his job.

  22. How could he have accounted for that f***tard running back to third? Carrera made so many stupid ass decisions on that play, and Pillar was compensating by making smart moves behind him. If Carrera had kept going, knowing he was guaranteed to be out, there would have been a man on third. The only stupid thing Pillar did was he didn't try to sprint back to second, which would have immediately alerted the other moron to stay on third.
