  1. The 2012 Cy Young Award might be the bane of the Jays franchise for a generation.
  2. Whatever the cost is going to be for Price, it would be a lot easier to stomach if Cespedes was also involved in a deal.
  3. Not unless the whole deal hasn't yet been reported. What if Cespedes is involved? Nobody's said that, that's just pure baseless speculation on my part, but there's an obvious fit there.
  4. I know that his opinion doesn't matter, that was my point. His opinion is useless, and the package he thinks it would take is ridiculous. That being said, precedents don't always matter if a team wants something bad enough. Tunnel vision could drive a team to pay something that nobody else would or should be comfortable paying.
  5. Baseless speculation, but this is Morosi's useless opinion on what it could take: That's a f***ing ridiculous cost for 10 starts from a pitcher, I don't care if it's Walter Johnson.
  6. Anyone who wants the Jays to sign Price as an FA is insane. He's not going to get less than 200M.
  7. I really don't want Price. The cost for half a season of price will be higher than the Tigers paid for 1.5 years of control last season.
  8. I hate giving this ******** hipster any more exposure than he already has, but he did make a tweet like this prior to the Donaldson deal...
  9. Gallardo feels like a time bomb. K/BB below 2, HR/FB nearly half of what it's been the last four years. It's only a matter of time before he starts giving up runs. If you get him for very little (like a Colabello), he's a nice little piece for the 5th spot, but I wouldn't replace someone like Estrada with him. Gallardo shouldn't be "the move". He could be the move before the move, but unless the Jays want to keep Estrada in the rotation (which isn't exactly ridiculous), they'd need one more big arm.
  10. It's hard to see a scenario in which the Jays do add somebody before the deadline and still have Alford in the system a few days from now.
  11. Your vendetta against baseball reporters is amusing.
