    I'm honestly just waiting for someone from the Phillies to say "we don't necessarily have to trade Hamels by the deadline". It's sickening how many times they've paraded him around in trade talks just to ask for too much and to wait too long and then pull out at the last second. Such a s*** team.

    I know I made a lot of devil's advocate posts yesterday, and while I still believe that we should take a cautiously optimistic approach to this trade at best, I think it's only fair to throw a bone to the optimists as well. Regarding Tulowitzki's injury history, some think that the altitude in Colorado was a significant factor (he literally had a hyperbaric chamber to sleep in at home for a "richer oxygen atmosphere") and that him recently adopting Novak Djokovic's training routine will help him. Anthopoulos also stated in his interview on PTS that he thinks a lot of Tulo's trouble in his legs was due to a muscle imbalance, caused by the hip problem he had repaired in 2014. He thinks that the hip stuff is behind him and that it will help with the rest of his leg issues as well.

    You're doing it wrong, Blue Jays twitter, you're not supposed to put pressure on your own front office. Only pussies. Professional as a motherf***. He said he was in the clubhouse for a couple hours before the press conference, what the hell else is he supposed to say? If the first impression to him is that it's a good bunch, that's how he'll tell it. Ryan Goins literally looks like an underage boy.

    I think Nightengale is the most full-of-s*** writer out of all the big story news guys. He's always commenting on every rumor, but it's extremely rare for him to ever actually break any trades. Far more often than not, he spews garbage that never materializes into anything. We already know that the Jays don't often trade for guys they're rumored to be in on, we know they don't have much interest in rentals, and Nightengale has never provided reliable information in regards to the Blue Jays. Taking all that into account, we can probably safely assume that he's making up what he's heard, or somebody told him to leak the Jays name to maybe push a player's value. Don't believe anything you read about the Jays until it happens.
