  1. In a shocking turn of events, a redditor has attempted to put together a quality GDT; the anti-reddit forum faithful are shocked that a circlejerky shitpost thread wasn't made by someone else in its place. More on this riveting story at 11.

  5. I don't really care about the moderation of this forum since I'm no longer anywhere near as active as I used to be, but considering how many people have an issue with one particular mod, I'm just going to throw this out there as a quality of life suggestion: If Deadpool, North and KingKat were allowed moderation privileges based heavily on a vote by the members of the board, shouldn't a similar level of democracy be allowed to the same members if they would like to see a mod removed from their duties? I think if a vote was taken, there would probably be an overwhelming majority of people who'd vote one way on that one.
  6. Well, that's after the fact, lol. I was begging for them to sign him when he was a free agent.
  7. Meh, this place is too much of a shithole for people here to constantly ridicule reddit. I post on both sites because neither is tangibly better than the other. Both have certain things going for them and both have plenty of flaws. Someone here high-horsing about reddit is like the troglodytes on OriolesHangout talking s*** about this place. Sports communities are just bad in general.
  8. Trumbo was raised in Villa Park, CA where the median household income was $116,000 at the time. He got a full ride scholarship to USC. Bautista grew up in the DR and went to a junior college. He had to work his ass off to go from being a journeyman to the player that he is today. He is well known around baseball for his extreme work ethic. Knowing that, read this quote again: Our guys are good. [Mark] Trumbo is like a working-class-type baseball player. If he was going to work every day on a construction site, you would understand that he brings that kind of work ethic every day. That’s the kind of player that our fans identify with. We try to get gritty players that work hard every day and give their best effort every day. Our fans seem to like that and respond to it. Mark Trumbo is a big ass 'murican boy so that automatically makes him a gritty, "working class player" (what the f*** does that even mean?) that fans identify with, who would be right at home on a construction site. That automatically implies that Bautista isn't a working class player, isn't "gritty" and doesn't have a good work ethic. Anyone who thinks there are zero racial connotations in that, whether intentional or sub-consciously, is dense.

  15. If KingKat and Hurl were away, who deleted silvergun's baity shitpost?
  16. Hey Barry. What advice would you give for an aspiring journalist or broadcaster in this day and age? It doesn't seem to be as straightforward as simply going to school anymore, and developing a realistic following online through blogs, podcasts or twitter seems to be a real crapshoot.
  17. Hey Barry. How terrible is it that the Fast and the Furious franchise is still alive? They're making a movie called "Fate of the Furious" which may be the most edgy name for a movie in the history of cinema. Is it possible at all that the entire 10 movie series is actually an elaborate, slow-burn sequel to Old Yeller?
