  1. I don't dislike any of them. I'd personally switch Martin and Donaldson, but this is the first time I haven't loathed a decision made by Gibby. All of these changes are huge steps forward in the right direction.
  2. lol Donaldson actually went on the record to basically say Bautista and Morales are ass and they need better OBP guys hitting ahead of Smoak. Not sure I remember any other situation in which a player actually mentioned the struggles of his teammates by name. He flat out implies that Jose and Morales should be moved down in the order. As long as this doesn't create any serious resentment in the clubhouse, this is a refreshing level of honesty from a player.
  3. MLB.com changed Lundquist's bonus from 125K to 175K. 10th rounder Dillon got only 5K. Noda, Tice, Kirwer, Gunter, Buffo, Watts and Reyes all signed. http://toronto.bluejays.mlb.com/team/draft.jsp?c_id=tor DiBenedetto also signed. http://m.bluejays.mlb.com/news/article/237523802/blue-jays-sign-roger-clemens-son-kacy/
  4. One thing I didn't notice when I posted this video earlier was that if you look closely, you realize that he's actually hitting the next home run well before the first even lands. There's a good 1 second+ of hang time left on the previous balls when he's already hitting the next ones. Cant imagine being in the stands at the park and having to keep track of two balls in the air at the same time. Crazy.
  5. The Jays signed all of their selections from Round 3 through 11. Smith got slot ($405,100), Lundquist got way below slot ($125,000) and the rest of the numbers have yet to be released. http://m.mlb.com/news/article/237042574/2017-draft-signing-and-bonus-tracker/?topicid=151437456
  6. According to Davidi, Clemens signed below slot. Remains to be seen how much below.
  7. 18th rounder Jordan Barrett has signed: "I'm pumped to go to this organization. Chris Hall has had nothing but good things to say about them since joining them. I'll report to minicamp on Friday."" 36th rounder Jonathan Cheshire has signed: The journey for Cheshire starts tomorrow as he travels down to Florida for a week to be evaluated further by the team. He will be given a physical and upon successful completion of that he will partake in drills. After the week is over the Blue Jays organization will place him in either Vancouver, with the Short Season Single A team affiliate, or in West Virginia, with the Rookie Ball team affiliate.
  8. Neal lists himself on twitter as a member of the Blue Jays organization. I guess that means he's signed? Professional baseball player in @Bluejays Organization Rodning is also signing: "After their trip to Minaki, Rodning will hop on a plane in Winnipeg next Wednesday and head to Dunedin for a physical before signing with the Jays."
  9. That guy looks exactly like you'd expect him to look.
  10. Graham Spraker, Colin Brockhouse, Kobie Russell and Brandon Polizzi have signed: Kobie Russell: "Catcher – Waipahu // Toronto Blue Jays - Has confirmed signing with pro team" http://khon2.com/2017/06/14/eight-players-with-hawaii-ties-selected-on-day-three-of-mlb-draft/ Brandon Polizzi: "Congratulations to the newest member of the Toronto Blue Jays." Instagram WWW.INSTAGRAM.COM Graham Spraker: "Spraker reports Friday to the Blue Jays' spring training complex in Dunedin, Fla., where he will take a physical and sign a contract." http://www.whig.com/20170615/blue-jays-tap-qu-pipeline-again-draft-spraker# Colin Brockhouse: Leaving today to start my journey with the Blue Jays ✈️
  11. Thanks, didn't know they had a set plan. Felt like random and frequent off days. Makes more sense this way.
  12. Bichette gets way too many off days for a 19 year old minor leaguer.
  13. I don't know about that. Ben Revere with some actual power and ability to take a walk would have been a monster. That's exciting to me. Bichette has 11 home runs in 339 professional PA's. Revere had 11 home runs after 4,807 professional PA's. Revere's highest walk rate ever was 7.9% in 406 PA's in AA back in 2010. Bichette is walking at a 9.3% clip.
  14. I know you kind of have to challenge Melky there, but still, I wonder how many runs Rivera costs the Jays each year.
