There's no real flaw in Carlson's game. Callis says he's only being undervalued on draft boards because teams have some sort of fear of injury for high school pitchers, which is dumb. Pearson's got questionable command and secondaries, a screw in his arm and a good fallback to LSU if he doesn't like what he's getting. I don't think it's the end of the world if they take him, but I just don't like prospects that fit Pearson's profile.

Manfred having his mic muted for Callis is instantly one of the top moments of this draft. MLB Network have their priorities straight.

I'm begging for Pearson to go off the board in the next two picks. I think there's a very real chance the Jays take him over Carlson if he's still on the board. That may be my worst nightmare.

f***ing Red Sox can pick anywhere in a draft and still get away with a good talent. And I didn't even want Houck, but I'm still somehow pissed that they took him.

I'm expecting the Jays to take Pearson at this point, which I'm not really excited about. If Peterson is on the board, I'd definitely take him ahead of Pearson. I still think the best thing they can do is go Carlson without risking someone taking him before their next pick.

This draft is rolling out really closely with my own board so far. I had Gore and Lewis ahead of both McKay and Wright, and I had Beck, Smith, Baz and Carlson all ahead of Kendall, Bukauskas, Haseley and Faedo despite the latter guys getting better ranks on MLB's list.
