  1. Silly mistake from Lauer, but we can get that run back.
  2. The offense is much more fluid without the worst hitter on the team on it, you don't say lol. As long as he comes back healthy Santander will still be a big part of this lineup, his '22-'24 seasons as a switch hitter will be a godsend to the lineup once he finally gets it going.
  3. Talk about stacking the righties against Liberatore. Makes sense, as expected he's much worse against the opposite handedness, and it helps that two of the guys are switch hitters to not hurt the late game pinch hitting opportunities. Ernie is 100% being PH for Barger if the need arises, Robertson might see a shot for either Schneider or Straw.
  4. Oh okay, yeah they were definitely teammates in at least '23 and '24, and obviously recently with Roden being demoted to AAA. Kind of a dumb point to make on my part since they obviously know each from professional ball.
  5. Ah cool, I didn't want to make that assumption since they were 3 draft classes apart but figured there was a chance.
  6. Happy for Will Robertson. Same college and similar signing bonus as Alan Roden, wonder if they know each other in some capacity. Always nice to see a guy that's been grinding through the minors get a well deserved shot. Guys like this can sometimes come up and have a small run of success before the league catches up to them. The power is very legit, I could see him start his career on a heater before inevitably cooling off, and of course would be nice if he was a legit strong side platoon bat, something like a Matt Adams type who can somewhat play the outfield.
  7. In terms of delivery alone, to me he looks like Mike Fiers with heat.
  8. Bassitt is quite a bit better than Mikolas. Anything could happen of course, but the odds are definitely in our favour for this game.
  9. I honestly think that pitch framing will still be a skill with measurable impact post ABS if there's only two allowed challenges per game. The impact of the most impactful frames will likely go down, but it'll go both ways as catchers like Kirk with great strikezone awareness can overturn 50/50 calls in key spots.
  10. Fastball was electric for Hoffman tonight.
  11. John Schneider will put in Mason Fluharty in the highest possible leverage to begin his career and now that he's an established stud he also pitches blowout games, lol. Sure would be great to use our worst arms or those needing work like Swanson instead.
  12. Springer being a bro and getting Kirky an RBI when it wasn't necessary at all.
  13. Schneider is gonna read this message and personally make sure to use at least 3 relievers from here on out.
  14. People said: "it would be nice if Barger and Ernie could combine into one player" so Ross Atkins spoke and both of them became elite on both sides of the ball.
  15. Ross Atkins just casually pulled the best 3B tandem in the majors making league minimum, with 90% of baseball fans not knowing who either player is.
  16. Embarrassing for Kepler to let the SS take that ball.
  17. Straw is over a full win better than Roki Sasaki and counting. Ross Atkins is laughing all the way to the bank.
  18. Mostly in the bottom of the recap articles since that's where we get tangible updates on performance. Tagged you since you would know who the next X non injured prospects in the top ~21-26 range would be to replace the injured guys with. But could be helpful to note the guys that will be out for some time, usually/almost always pitchers.
  19. Another small nitpick that would likely help, perhaps adding a section for injured top prospects? Bit depressing to always see zeros next to Barriera, Ricky T, Bloss, Kasevich, etc. Maybe we replace them with the next top vote getters in the top 20 rankings @Brock Beauchamp and have a section just for injured long-term guys.
  20. Nice to see Stephen shove in A+ and the power come alive in AAA. I like the new format for the top 20 hitters/pitchers as it makes it much cleaner to read, but as a small nitpick, the blue rows are slightly hard on the eye, maybe a lighter font could help here? Something to play around with perhaps.
  21. Soto is fine, his Statcast metrics are super elite. Getting insanely unlucky.
  22. Varsho, while not the sole contributor, was also very much a catalyst in the power department it should be noted. A .337 ISO since being activated was an oasis in the middle of a power desert. Our shared team leader in homeruns in 40% of the games of the other two co-leaders. Not a small power dropoff from himself to a Lukes/Straw platoon, but hopefully Barger and his emergence continues picking up the slack in this department. The team as a whole crushed the ball this last series.
  23. You won't find one baseball fan outside Seattle lamenting that the Jays picked Gausman over Robbie Ray in free agency, but nevertheless it's nice to see the latter starting to return to a shade of the form we saw from the 2021 Cy Young winner. Now two years removed from his TJS and in a different team, he's once again pitching like a top of the rotation arm in San Francisco, with the Giants well in the race for the NLW and WC.
