Biggio is, at worst, a competent 2B. If he's replacing Semien at 2B, it's not going to be the tirefire that it was when he was learning 3B while hurt.

Where is this 3 games thing coming from? He's been hot since the start of September. .419/.472/.613/1.085 for a 192 wRC+, it's a sample size of 36 PAs, so it's not huge, but for a streaky guy like Grich, that's a good sign that he's on one of the good streaks.

Most of these guys are barely major leaguers, you don't think they'd take a risk to improve their odds of a nice free agent contract?
