  1. I could definitely get behind "Rush", but I think you'd have to explain that to far too many people for it to stick.
  2. From what I could find through some cursory googling, Halladay peaked as BA's #12 prospect. It's not exactly apples to apples, but by that metric, Pearson is a "better" prospect than Halladay was.
  3. BJMB should be all in, his handsomeness is off the charts.
  4. Yeah, the "pitchers get suspiciously good after they show up on the Astros roster" scandal seems to have gone away now that the "WE BANG ON THINGS! GO BOOM WHEN SLOW PITCH!" scandal broke.
  5. Altuve dies when his buzzer malfunctions. The Orioles actually win a game.
  6. Probably watching on Gameday. Gameday doesn't do balls and strikes very accurately during spring training...
  7. It'll be on TV, just not on mlb.tv. They're trying to push their digital subscription service.
  8. Well, he's hurt and scheduled to miss the start of the season. But if he'll come in on an MiLB contract, I have no objection.
  9. Well, he's hurt and scheduled to miss the start of the season. But if he'll come in on an MiLB contract, I have no objection.
  10. He looked like he was moving reasonably well at 3B today, even though the ball only went in his direction twice.
  11. I think it's fair to say after the first game of spring training that the Jays > the Yankees and should win well over 100 games this season.
  12. Boy, they're not easing the season in with a bunch of NRIs, are they?
  13. I disagree with both of these posts.
  14. I'd put money on Biggio beating his projections, particularly his OBP projections. I think he's got 15-20 homer power (when he connects man, it's beautiful) but his eye is one of the best I've ever seen. I think he's a .270/.390/.430 kinda bat, mostly because I believe that he doesn't swing at bad pitches, ever. I don't see an .800+ OPS as being a stretch at all for him.
  15. qft quoting MYSELF for truth...
  16. Yep, it is a red convertible, and it needs a lot of work, but I got it. MGs were my favourite car when I was a kid, so I'm pretty stoked about it. Go midlife crisis mobile!
  17. Sunk cost fallacy. That's literally the only explanation for why he's still getting time in a uniform.
  18. Why do all these projections have Biggio with an OBP that low? The man has a generational eye at the plate. If Roboumps were a thing, he'd never strike out looking, ever.
  19. They alone got caught. There's enough rumour and hearsay (which are KINDS of evidence) that it's not just them.
  20. I don't think the league wants to out (or at least highlight) cheating, and using a foreign substance to help with grip is a lot easier to get away with sweeping under the rug than video evidence showing a loud bang every time an off speed pitch was thrown... Same reason there's not likely to be any investigation into the buzzer theory, they can ignore it, and will as long as possible.
  21. No, I do not, but I now am the proud owner of a 1973 MGB (in which I have never jacked off...)
  22. The gist of it seems to be Huff made some Tweets in very poor taste (not many mentioned in the article, and I don't care to dig any further) and he went with the "it's just a prank, bro" defence when he got called out on it. Bottom line is the Giants aren't censoring him or infringing on his first amendment rights because the Giants aren't the government, they're a private company that's free to not invite someone to their party if they don't wanna. *shrug* I had literally forgotten that Aubry Huff existed until you posted this
  23. Is this supposed to be a joke of some kind? I mean, there are lots of funny comments to be made on this subject, but like... try again maybe?
  24. Once you're old enough to drive, maybe you'll change your tune. It's hilarious, and at the end of the day, it's meaningless. Beyond Reese and the people who will never let him live this down, who is actually impacted by this?
  25. I'm going to preface this by saying I've never jerked off in a parking lot, because all of you just assume I'm defending him because I must obviously do it myself (I've f***ed in my car in a parking lot, and I've jerked off in my car not in a parking lot just to clear up any possible misconceptions) but like... It's just not a guarantee that you're going to be seen, 'cause like... the door goes up to around your shoulders, right? Unless you've got a HUGE cock, that should not be an issue. Or unless someone is going out of their way to stare into the cars of strangers, which, to me, is WAY weirder than jerking off. Who the s*** passes a car and thinks "I'd better find out what's happening in there!"? Don't you have better things to do with your time? This is funny as f***, nobody was hurt, and you guys need to get the sticks out of your asses. Jerking off is fun, he's 24 so he's prime jerking off age, and he was inside his own private property. f***, I'm 41 now, I wish I still had the energy and desire to jerk off with reckless abandon whenever the mood strikes.
