    I'd have a hard time accepting that case... I don't think celebrity = authority figure. That rule is mostly for stuff like teachers and other positions of trust. Granted, I'm not paying attention, if he was like, her baseball coach or babysitter or something, then yeah, absolutely.

    They should hire some of the people who market baseball in Japan and Korea, they are killing it over there.

    CFL is a better game with worse players. 4 downs? My dead grandma can make 10 yards in 4 downs... That being said, all football is boring and terrible and nobody should watch it.

    Are we absolutely sure Valera is s*** though? Put up a 130 wRC+ in just shy of 400 ABs with the Yankees in AAA last year, and in 17 MLB games was worth 0.2 WAR. I think there might be an alright bench piece there, as he has covered 2B, SS, 3B and all 3 OF positions in his career (minor league fielding stats aren't great, so I don't know how WELL he's played any of those positions).

    And the grey alternate/road jersey from that era was the better uniform at the time.

    I really don't care for the whites. The Blue jersey is by FAR the best one.

    Yeah, there hasn't been a decent (licensed) baseball game since MVP 2005. That really sucks.

    Of those three, I like the middle one the best. I don't particularly care for any of them, but I don't have a visceral hatred for the black uniforms that a lot of you seem to have. Frankly for me it's Blue >>>> Black > White.

    If Tejada came in on a MILB deal, does that not make him "optionable" (at least once) since he's not on the 40 man?

    She's been with the team since 2014. f***, AA started out in the mail room for the Expos. I'd assume that she, like many others, worked their way up in the company and was promoted accordingly. I mean, if they hired her for that role right out of college then MAYBE you'd have a point, but I'm fairly sure she's demonstrated competence enough to earn that role in, again, the five years that she's been with the organization.

    I'm not sure if context makes this quote funnier or not... But his dad was (is?) a professional Sumo wrestler, who was apparently quite good, and this was in response to why he didn't want to get into the family business...

    I disagree that it's an integral part of baseball, it is, however, an accepted part of baseball. It also falls within the players v/ players dynamic of baseball. If you let electronic sign stealing go w/o punishment the next market inefficiency is going to be the team with the best Department Of Electronic Sign Stealing.

    I've only been to the DR for a week vacation, but on those few occasions we left the resort it wasn't hart to see that "road safety" wasn't much of a priority there...

    If you lost your first and second round draft pick every year? That's a fast way to realllllly hamper your franchise.

    They should also be forced to replace their WS banner at their stadium with a giant asterisk.
