    Most people do have "Fire and Theft" insurance on their house, therefore the Alfords needed their house robbed then burnt down!!!! The Alfords needed "Fire or Theft" insurance In a seriousness here, perhaps Alford locked his signing bonus up in some sort of investment that he can access to a certain age to ensure it doesn't get wasted on youthful spending???

    I suspect money will be the main incentive for Donaldson to resign with the Jays BUT closely followed by a competitive team. If the Jays takes a few steps back competitively then Donaldson is 100% gone......which I guess it means he's 100% gone!

    How about both McBroom and Tellez being better than Smoak right now? This isn't because I think both are great, this is more or less a statement on how much Smoak sucks!

    That's true if the other teams doesn't increase their payroll. I'm just not sure how Shapiro can make this statement with any amount of certainty! But it does sound good that they want to move up the list! (even spending that "14mil", Rogers would still be rolling in a lot more $$$)

    During an emergency a year ago we stayed at the Stay Inn on Evans and the start of the 427 for about 115 per night (it was very clean) and a decent breakfast was included. If interested the Toronto residents can probably tell you how to get from here to the Rogers Centre.

    I've been a TSN disciple for a while now. Bryan Hayes is IMHO the very best sports host in Toronto. Bobcat was until he turned in the Fatcat! Tim and Sid are perhaps the absolute biggest piece of immature crap on airwaves. Totally unlistenable

    In the past offseason if someone would've told me that DJ Davis would have the same stats as Alford at this point of the season I would've been thrilled!! Hmmmm....but I'm not!

    Everyone does know you can't say that....especially one of the most established players in the league. IMHO....this was a BIG EFFFFF - UUUUU to MLB again by the BoSox, who think they are above mundane things like rules. Perhaps anytime team management/player tampers like this it would be great if MLB can rule that "that specific team is banned from signing that player". Of course this would never get past the collective bargaining process!
