  1. Plus the half-assed attempt to avoid being hit. If he never got hit would Sanchez get suspended?
  2. At first i thought the Royals not being suspended may have been advantageous for Jays if the Royals were playing the Yankees or the Orioles the next week or so but they don't! Piss me off!
  3. Option 4: Claim Sheilds and make a deal with the Padres. Then in off season trade him for about what you gave up for him. *Just to stop him from going to the New York Stank-ees!
  4. Is there enough mustard in Oakland?
  5. Didn't you meant to say "FatCat" McCown? FatCat seems to be in desperation mode with these rumours fighting against Tim and Sid in house ratings wars.
  6. With this 5.5 game lead at the start of Aug, the odds of the jays catching the Yankees will be tough but not even close to impossible. The bonus is with the Yankee lead is that they will probably still be in first place at the close of the waiver claim deadline and the Jays potentially could claim any pitcher the Yankee's may need. As a very remote aside to this possibility is that the Jays could also get a possible starter to replace Price next year. ^ Yes, far fetched but....
  7. and just for a laff during yesterdays game the TV cameras showed standing side by side David Price, T Tuluwitzki, Donaldson and.............Kawsawki. I thought to myself...what the f*** is David Price doing in that picture!
  8. Wrong! During the on field scrum John Rambo would've lead the charge onto the field and thrown some punches. Volquez only acted tough when he had 20 teammates between him and the Jays. Same reason why he signed back in the AL so he's protected by not having to bat. Volquez not only acted like a baby but the guy is a big mouth coward!
  9. and with recently being traded with a young family he probably still feels overwhelmed. I like this move, with the Twins coming in here Monday might as well as have TT with a relatively peace of mind and settled in for that series. These guys are husbands and fathers first then ball players!
  10. Whats the latest with Tolleson...injured or was he picked up by another team?
  11. Maybe Beeston had some photos on Gillick and held onto them for an appropriate time??
  12. Now the load is now on the players as AA sits back and puts his feet up grabs a cold one then lights a stoogie!
  13. But he may sign in under another nic to start bitchin' and moaning about Tulo!
  14. s*** man....TT is in Chicago, there has to be 1000 illegal print shops that will do up a passport while he waits!
  15. Pillar at leadoff?....I know he needs to walk more though but at that position in the lineup he may get a lot more strikes.
  16. May only matter now for stats but in a cpl years he"ll be right where he belongs. This hasn't hampered his development that it would put a dent in his overall MLB career. Besides, he had to get football off his mind to fully concentrate and develop as a baseball player.
  17. Why fire Gibbons now....when you can hold out for the BlowSux to make a trade for Gibbons and relieve Farrel from his nightmare?
  18. Thanks for laff!! Well done!
  19. IMHO any prospects past season(s) should be ignored after a few months into a successful season. It's all about development and if a player develops isn't that the goal? His past unsuccessful seasons can be stored on the back shelf. Glad to see that DJD finally getting his "tools" in some type of semblance of order instead of scattered all over the floor.
  20. Hopefully he"ll watch endless video of Mark Buehrle! IMHO it's usually whats between the ears for pitchers that makes it or breaks it for them.
  21. Agreed throwing harder.....but I wonder if the lowering of the mound back in 68 had anything to do with this. Just a few yrs after lowering it Tommy John had the first surgery and it's been full bore on this procedure. Just might be a coincidence with the lowering of the mound and the TJ surgery but......
  22. Pompey was interviewed this am on TheFan590 and probably there's a podcast of it on their website. I didn't hear it but I have assume they had to discussed why he hasn't been playing.
  23. And despite a strike zone the size of a thimble Aaron fukking Sanchez shut down the BoSux! Full props to Sanchez for ignoring this ump and have his best game ever. NOW CARRY IT OVER TO THE NEXT GAME!
