    Throw really demonstrated how Bautista's arm still is far from being okay. Still would like to know how a coach being right in the way of a player, while not in their designated area, isn't interference regardless of whether it seemed Cabrera would probably be safe.

    Reyes has no range but he sure can get a lot on his throws.

    Who would have thought Buehrle Would be the best guy we picked up in the Marlins/Mets trade combined. So fun to watch, I wish we could have him one more year at a reasonable price.

    Trading EE and extending Smoak an extra year or two at cheap makes a lot of sense, especially if Gibbons continue to insist on Navarro DH sometimes. Call up Pompey and have Colabello and Navarro for DH duties.

    Said I expect a breakout from Smoak the whole time. I really, really hope they start playing him regularly. Honestly, he could be a legitimate replacement for EE if they needed to trade him before his contract expires next year. I would sign Smoak to a reasonable extension immediately and let him run with our 1B job for the next few years.

    If he keeps performing like this he should be sent away. It is a billion dollar industry, if we were out of it then do the right thing and let him finish the year but we aren't. He could improve though... maybe... please. I think Castro should be starting the second half on the Jays. better than the rest of what we have and will have his innings up to go into a starting role next year.

    Was at the game last night. Has Reyes always had such a ridiculously wide batting stance? He looks moronic watching him from a side view and everything is just a hack with no power. Was he really standing that way when he was with the Mets?

    We will will know 5 years from now if the Jays can make use to get someone better than those prospects in the following years. Dejong isn't nothing but he also is behind a long list of other Jay's pitching prospects. It's good to keep flexibility, never know what opportunities might come up.

    I believe the human element often gets overlooked by most on this board, but a lot of what he saI'd sounds ridiculous to me. I could understand maybe a psychological effect like he talks about but not that the bullpen will be more tired because you pitch in different innings some days.

    He is taking away at bats from better hitters and it is becoming more clear that Thole really is needed for Dickey until we can be rid of him.
