  1. Alford is nothing until he shows he can get his strikeout rate down and make more contact. If he learns to hit his eye will be useful, otherwise major league pitchers will just throw strikes and eat him alive.
  2. Good God Pillar is stupid. Taking homerun swings each pitch. What a dumb, idiotic, overly cocky moron. I can't stand these cocky players taht can't back it up, I was so happy to get rid of Arencibia and Gose and now we have this guy. Shorten up your swing dummy.
  3. They will find a reason for the grass thing to take years and years. Maybe the MLB can hurry them up by telling them they can't use this new turf anymore. Sadly I don't see any real problems with the turf though.
  4. I'm not completely giving up on this season yet, but it is always a sad time of the year when it becomes more interesting to check out the minor league threads than any major league news or scores. Seems like a yearly tradition though.
  5. Woke up this morning seeing that Harper was taken out in the first innings. Almost had a fantasy-baseball related heart attack. All is well though!
  6. I'm actually surprised he didn't get injured. The baseball Gods really seem to know exactly which players to take and at exactly which times to break our spirits.
  7. Sooo... does Bautista need Tommy John? What kind of shoulder injury that occurs on a throw keeps a guy from throwing this long but still allows him to hit? It is really getting odd how little we are hearing and how long it is taking. Serious shoulder injuries would make it hard to hit. A ucl at least doesn't change a swing.
  8. I really don't see what's so ridiculous about any of these prices, it's not the 1980s anymore. $20 dollars for a CD really isn't a big deal, for most people it is basically about one hours worth of work, for which in return they will likely get more than an hours worth of entertainment. Most movies in theaters costs millions to make, with 1000s of people involved, taking years in development, but people are upset it cost them about an hours worth of wages. I really don't see the problem here. I get the argument about the majority of the money for a CD should go to the band and not the producers, but otherwise...
  9. Bahaha. This is funny. Indians can't even gift us a game. If Francis was not Francis and if they looked purely at his stuff and results, is there any chance he'd be on an MLB team? NO. So get him out of here I'd rather them keep calling up guys from A ball. At least then there is a chance he is ok. Why pitch a guy you know, 100%, is not good.
  10. We really really really really really really needed Stroman.
  11. Bautista does not have the same extension/follow through on his swing. Something is really wrong there.
  12. WTH is Tabler talking about, Hutch has his command. Just the other inning they are talking about how his pitches ate missing the inside and Martin might have to slide over more.
  13. If we got a few fluke hits against a dominant pitcher and our 9 guy was up, maybe I could understand bunting. But when it is 2-0 after her walked the 7 and 8 guys then whyyyy not at least take a pitch.
  14. Guy can't throw strikes at all. walked 7 and 8 and 2-0 count to 9 hitter and bunt.... AWESOME
  15. It sucks that Tolleson can't play the outfield defensively like Pillar. This team has done a good job at getting rid of douchebags, making the team much more fun to watch. The only one that's really left is Pillar. Last years hiss fit definitely wasn't a one off thing, he seems like a cocky little prick. Tolleson seems all class, really wish him well.
  16. Smoak will have lots of playing time now. This is where the breakout begins and he becomes a big part of our team for years.
  17. I love Gibbons and how he manages but his Navarro love is too much. Wish AA could get rid of Navarro. There must be a useful piece somewhere.
  18. Ugh. I like how smoak's loomed and obviously has a better chance to hit a HR and in comes Navarro instead. I understand the move if it was 4-3 but not now.
  19. This guy really has no clue where his pitches are going. All he has is a fastball too, he has no chance to control his curveball. Lucky he misses the strike zone by so much with them because 30% of them would be hangers.
  20. He throws hard though. In all honesty though there have been quite a few SP prospects I can remember who take about 2-4 extra years than people think they will, then find it. Sanchez could figure out how to command and get some swing and misses, but he doesn't have those skills yet.
  21. We need our big three to wake up and get us out to an early lead while these other teams struggle with their pitching.
