  1. Remember when Grant drafted Deshields in the BBDL and just couldn't stop congratulating himself?
  2. Given the current state of the OF depth chart, a claim would make sense. You can always try to work something out down the line when rostering him is no longer an option.
  3. Janssen wasn't a relief prospect.
  4. "catcher clearly wasn't a need of Toronto's" Eat s*** Heyman. Catcher has been the team's achilles heel for years.
  5. Thole is not as bad as Navarro in that department so Dickey's projections are probably accurate in any case.
  6. * except Dickey
  7. And so simple to make. Just your standard green ornaments, some ribbon and some googly eyes.
  8. Yeah this should be a very attractive situation for Crain. It's a mini team Canada, there are openings in the bullpen including the closer spot and a great lineup to support the pitching staff. The guy is a boss so it's a great fit if the terms are reasonable.
  9. As long as the players make the team better, I have no problem with this. The Raptors are doing the whole "We the North" thing. Jays could one up them by fielding actual Canadian players. Just as long as they don't bring back Corey Koskie. That's just going too far.
  10. Christmas decoration idea for Deadpool: http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/236x/fe/4c/a3/fe4ca3b02a6c047b9a3a8627c3b2b1d0.jpg
  11. http://thebrotherhoodofevilgeeks.files.wordpress.com/2014/05/nerds-3.jpg
  12. And you can't control who will and who won't sign with you. Just because you can theoretically make a better signing, doesn't mean you should hold back from making a less ideal signing that improves the team. If Sandoval wants to sign on the dotted line and Headley doesn't, Sandoval is the better fit.
  13. It really DOES sound like something the Beest would say.
  14. Expect the polar opposite reaction to the Martin signing if this happens. Casuals: "Dude's a winner". Nerds: "Dude eats too many weiners.".
  15. Yeah I voted a knee jerk yes but I'd change my vote if I could because once you break down the contracts, it doesn't work.
  16. Dickey might be an ass but Howarth might be the bigger ass. I like him as a broadcaster but no one needs their play by play guy stirring s*** like this. Put this jerk out to pasture, please.
  17. Saw Liz in Portland this summer. Absolutely painful to watch. Not even the ghost of control but he would queue one up for the Portland mashers when he was desperate for a strike.
  18. Jose Canseco would like to sell you the finger he accidentally shot off http://sports.nationalpost.com/2014/11/18/jose-canseco-would-like-to-sell-you-the-finger-he-accidentally-shot-off/#__federated=1 The phrasing WOULD LIKE in the headline is apt because actually eBay won't allow the sale of body parts. Canseco probably already knows this but he's always willing to play dumb to attract headlines.
  19. D'arnaud is an intriguing guy but with Rosario in the fold, I couldn't really bring myself to offer anything really good for him.
  20. Mozeliak on the Heyward trade: https://soundcloud.com/mlbnetworkradio/cardinals-gm-john-mozeliak-on-what-appealed-to-him-about-jason-heyward-siriusxm Long story short, trade doesn't fir their m.o. but Miller was a guy they could afford to lose and they really liked Heyward as a replacement for OT.
  21. Before trying to wrap my head around the financials of that deal, I'll just say that Buehrle is a pretty valuable piece for the Jays. I don't want to acquire a platoon OF at the cost of Buehrle. There are easier ways of accomplishing that.
