  1. I on the other hand highly recommend reading. The prose is hilarious. Just read it in the voice of a high school reporter whose voice just started to crack.
  2. I wasn't really feeling this draft at first but as usual, once you dive in it gets pretty interesting. I feel like over time the collective psyche of the league has become more in tune. No one's grabbed anyone completely out of nowhere, there haven't been many picks that would qualify as reaches either and lots of people seem to be getting their pockets picked.
  3. A guy like North keeps you on your toes. You always know he's casting a wide net. I probably shouldn't have drafted Ruddy Giron where I did (if at all) but I let the "better get this guy before he does" thought process get to me.
  4. Welcome to the forum. I think if you're honest and don't act like you know more than you do and come off arrogant or argumentative, people will be very supportive and keen to answer your questions. I can't speak for admin but I don't think there's much risk that your account would be deleted for inactivity.

  6. I basically drafted him because I thought you would.
  7. Thanks for posting. Dawson put up some great numbers a couple of years ago but I kind of lost sight of him. I had no idea about the physical issue. He could be one of those Kevin Pillars types who beats the odds and carves out a niche role.
  8. I'm thinking vocabulary tapes à la Homer Simpson.
  9. Say his totals were 0.226 (rounded down to 0.2) and 0.126. (rounded down to 0.1). Add that up and you'd get 0.352. Round that up and you get 0.4
  10. This is especially odd because it's not like they come from such a small country that they would have no concept of driving distances. You could easily make a similarly long drive south of the border.
  11. Well that took awhile. I was starting to think he might, rather improbably, fall to me if NJH didn't grab him first but it didn't come to that.
  12. Had a donair pizza from Papa John's the other day. I was surprised that they had what's basically a regional specialty on the menu and it was great. I mean Papa John's is an above average fast food pizza place in the first place but I wouldn't say that I love their pizza but I loved this.
  13. For some reason, I had the idea that Boston wasn't that big stuck in my head.
  14. My wife too the picture using one of the cameras she uses professionally. I'm guessing she used a very short exposure. Maybe 1/2000 of a second or something like that. You can still kind of see movement in her face and paws but the jersey looks immobile. She probably wouldn't pass something like this off to a client but it was the best the circumstances would allow.
  15. My wife says she yells and cries for like an hour every morning after I go to work which is kind of endearing especially since I'm not the one around to put up with it.
  16. I snickered. I enjoy a very literally minded joke.
  17. *her and yes. It was hard to get any kind of picture. She's basically writhing here but she's captured in something resembling a pose. This is my first tortie. I've only had her for half a year. I had never heard of the "tortitude" phenomenom and probably woudn't have believed in it even if I had but she definitely has it. She's quiet most of the time but when she gets hungry, she goes on a rampage. She gained 40% of her body weight since we has her. She basicallly climbs the walls and tries to destroy all your s*** when she wants food. Also has a nasty (and potentially fatal) habit of chewing on power cords. Quite a contrast to the original KingKat who was the gentlest cat I've ever known.
  18. Boston is expensive f*** especially for a town that's not a big metropolis. I'm surprised it doesn't rank worse than Toronto. It certainly would be one of the worst, if not the worst, in terms of cost relative to size.
