The best way to use Reyes is to put in a defensive replacement for him with it's tight and late. The best possible role for Goins is as a defensive replacement. Somehow in spite of having the personnel in place that dictates a very specific strategy, it's not happening. I know that managing egos is a huge part of baseball, a part that's often far too casually dismissed BUT.... at some point, you can't keep giving away games because you don't want to bruise any egos.
