  1. I don't recall anyone saying this until he was demoted.
  2. Holly f***... I'm starting to think you might be serious.
  3. I didn't even now who she was until just now. The weird morbid legacy of Whitney Houston continues. From what little I just read, there doesn't really seem to be any explanation as to how she ended up in that tub in the first place. R.I.P. Twenty-two is an obscenely young age to pass away.
  4. Pretty reasonable trade. I don't think Harvey is a guy NJH will regret cashing in.
  5. Oh man... Baltimore fans are going to have a field day with this.
  6. NJH is a very saracstic bastard. Don't take his posts more seriously than he does.
  7. Kazmir traded to Astros. Basically going to be a bullpen start.
  8. They remove names as prospects graduate but they don't re-evaluate the ranking themselves. That's been their m.o. for years.
  9. Are you kidding me? You're going to judge his character based on s*** he did at 15? Do you have any idea what in insufferable piece of s*** the average 15 year old is?
  10. Those rankings aren't up to date. Nottingham is having a good season. He's taken a step forward and would no doubt be ranked higher today.
  11. That's probably your best play. In some leagues, you could probably sell high but in this one people will wait to see more from him. That's probably TCA's best play with Rendon as well.
  12. TCA. I highly doubt he would accept the deal I just brokered for him.
  13. Does anyone here actually WANT to trade for Rendon though? Seems to me he's a guy everyone likes in theory but no one would feel comfortable giving up much more than Crawford for in reality.
  14. I've always wondered if it would be practical to take some of the discussion here and edit it into phony round table pieces. Some of the best and most statistically sound analysis of things Blue Jays related happens here and basically gets lost to the ether. I think transforming some of that into blog pieces was sort of what admin had in mind in the first place but the problem has been developing a mechanism to do consistently and effectively. There's some good stuff here between the trolling and flaming. Would be nice to tidy it up and deliver it to the world.
  15. Crawford for Rendon seems not totally crazy to me. Rendon is the bigger talent but given all his question marks, he's not necessarily the better assett.

Well damn! They hired the guy they should have hired instead of Burke in the first place.
  17. I've been pretty badly out of the loop. I didn't even realize he was on the market though if I was paying closer attention I would have realized that he obviously should be.
  18. She's pretty trashy (and so is Matt) but I think there's a naturally attractive woman underneath all that. Maybe not smoking but not a dog. http://cmsimg.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcsi.dll/bilde?NewTbl=1&Site=AB&Date=20120126&Category=SPT04&ArtNo=201260804&Ref=PH&Item=1&Maxw=640&Maxh=410
  19. No one would have predicted that Donaldson would become available the next off season but boy did it work out well that he was.
  20. It's a solid theory for sure but the flip side is that there's so much uncertainty with prospects that teams are probably wrong as often as they are right about which prospects to trade. To use an example you're quite familiar with, the Phillies looked really smart to trade Carrasco when his prospect value was high and then Carrasco stepped up big time in the majors and the Phillies really didn't look smart at all anymore.
  21. There might be but it's pure conjecture on your part.
