  1. I understand why you'd make that assumption but I'm not comfortable with it. Encarnacion was a 3B too and unlike Bautista his weakness was his arm not his fielding. EE's a pretty bad 1B and I think Bautista might be worse. In any case, I'm not comfortable just assuming he won't be bad.
  2. I'd need to see Bautista play some 1st and feel confident that he can make that transition before deciding to extend both. I don't want the team to pay big money to two DHs. If it comes down to only one, I don't have a strong preference. Both mean a lot me as a fan and having at least one of them around would make make it easier to accept losing the other. Would hate to not have at least one of the two.
  3. Doubront > Copeland
  4. Age is the most important stat.
  5. Yeah well I'm not under any illusions here. In fact the numbers aren't really that impressive. It's as much a comment on some of the numbers I see from big prospects then a comment on him.
  6. I was just going to say that. I see A LOT of hyped pitching prospects putting up pretty similar numbers.
  7. Yeah this would seem to fit pretty well given Shapiro's stated concerns with lack of talent in the high minors and lack of depth (which ultimately just might be two ways of expressing the same concern).
  8. Well you can't get that here either so I don't really get your point.
  9. Page 3 girl.
  10. Well s***... We're practically the same age. Your vocabulary of old English expressions fooled me into thinking you were older.
  11. [quote=King;81 7841]http://cds.arbys.com/images/menu/roast-beef-rb-classic-1024x557.jpg Deleted a few posts with photos. Leaving this one up because it's fairly representative of the deleted links.
  12. Holy crap!

  14. Is it possible that Lawrie didn't even know him and Brendel they were engaged?
  15. Pictou County pizza with donair sauce is the only acceptable pizza/dip combination.
  16. There's a German place near-ish to me that was on that show and oh boy, you really do have to eat there. Middle of but-f*** nowhere rural New Brunswick, impossible to find without a map and amazing. Has been running for years without any visibility and basically zero chance of walk-in traffic in one of the least populous corners of the country. You just have to know and if you do, you'll support it. It's a solid 2 hour drive to nowhere for me but I make it at least once a year.
  17. Pizza Hut isn't good pizza per say but that doesn't mean one can't enjoy it. As big chain junk food pizzas go, one can do a lot worse.
  18. Want to be my friend?
  19. A lot of people used to think that I was younger and then I told some people I was older and then a lot of the assumptions started going the other way.
  20. Yeah I try not to be a square on most things but I can't do tatoos. I'm also finding that my tolerance level for hip-hop diminishes as I get older. In the late eighties, I listened to it almost exclusively and now I can barely respect it as an art form (which doesn't mean I can't enjoy some of it but I can't take is the least bit seriously).
  21. I listen to a lot of jazz. That probably makes me like 30 year older than I actually am culturally speaking.
  22. Pushing 40 (like really pushing it).
  23. I'm old and and Tatoos scare me. Even ones that are just trees and s***. Also her bio says she has a kid old enough to have it's own Twitter account?
  24. Lind?

    NBA Thread

He's really in a bad spot. Anything he does will just get him labelled a bad apple and vindicate his coach for benching him but at the same time there doesn't seem to be any hope that Casey will ever relent and give him a fair shake regardless. Casey simply is not fit to be put in a position of authority. That's the entire problem and until someone does something about it, Johnson's stuck between a rock and a hard place.
