    B+ Improved the team without any subtractions that are likely to hurt.

    I honestly think it was kind of a sneaky good deadline. No sexy names but a lot of good, under-the-radar types who compliment our needs well. Merrifield - versatility and speed Marlins duo - options out of the pen White - starting depth with decent upside I didn't want to gut the farm. The idea here is sustainable success and none of the moves made today are likely to be at the expense of the future. Everyone we got will be here at least next year and we're certainly better today than we were yesterday and all it cost us was a plumetting infield prospect who's stalled in AAA and a promising pitching prospect whose numbers are inflated due to being 23 in the low minors.
