    I honestly wouldn't be shocked to see something like this come opening day: Ray Berrios Castillo Manoah Ryu Pearson With our lineup, that is one hell of a team, even with only minimal improvements to the bullpen (but I have confidence they'll take care of business there as well).

    I highly doubt the Jays spend big on two more FA pitchers. I think they would love to grab ONE of Ray, Verlander, Scherzer, or Gausman and I think they'll be looking to acquire another via trade. If they think they can lock a Manaea, Castillo or Lopez up long-term like they did with Berrios, it makes moving a couple more prospects much easier to swallow. And once the target pitcher gets here and gets familiar with the city, facilities, etc, I think the Jays like their chances of not having to overpay like they would have to on the open market. Kirk is a surplus and is likely being dangled and they can probably deal with moving on from one of Groshans or Orelvis. That's a pretty solid package but if it means even more long-term stability, I think they do it. This core is young and here for a while, so they have time to restock.

    I would take Stro back for the right price. Dude can pitch and you can basically pencil him in for 180+ innings of 3.50ish ERA. And yeah, he's probably a douchebag but he's got swagger too, and honestly, this team could use a little swagger.

    Maybe the worst part is every team in the AL playoffs is very, very, unlikeable. Tampa/NY/Boston are obviously our rivals and my hatred for each of them only continues to grow and I could never ever cheer for any of them. The Astros have their cheating scandal and the White Sox have La Russa. I mean I GUESS it would be Chicago but only because they're the least hateable of a group of extremely hateable teams.

    Top four in the lineup against Cole tonight: 7 for 12 with six XBH. I guess that's acceptable.

    Just grabbed some tickets for the Thursday game against the Yanks. The tickets are allegedly "physically distanced" POD seating. Does anyone know HOW physically distanced the seats are?

    At least the Yanks only went 4-2 against Cleveland/Texas. Could have been worse.

    You guys need to relax about Reese. He's been fine. He's been our best defensive catcher this year (at least fangraphs thinks so) and he's had all of ten plate appearances this month. I wouldn't exactly call that a ton of playing time.
