  1. 100% I really, really wanted Lindor. I was pretty happy with Springer at the time but I just felt like Lindor was the perfect target and the perfect fit here. Oh well, at least we got the guy who was traded for Lindor...
  2. Horwitz is even more Piratesish than he is Guardiansish
  3. Who's the AL MVP right now, Witt or Judge? Soto might hit 10 fWAR this season and come in a distant third. Crazy year.
  4. Kikuchi's first two batters faced as an Astro: Double off the wall to Yandy and then a homer to Dylan Carlson (his first of the season)
  5. Yeah, JRam really is still a perfect fit if we can finally get him. Him and Bellinger would be nice. ss Bo 3b JRam lf Belly 1b Vlad rf Springer cf Varsho c Kirk/Jansen dh 2b I'm good with the rotation depth right now but we'd probably have to sign some shitballer to battle for the #5/6 spot, as I assume at least one of Manoah or Tiedemann would be Cleveland bound in this scenario. And I'm on board with Hader for the pen.
  6. I'm so desperate for Ohtani news I'm reading Steve Simmons articles.
  7. Some small consolation for having to play in Ohio, I guess.
  8. There is a Chick-Fil-A in Oshawa now. And I think they opened a few other locations around the GTA
  9. Without diving into the numbers, I would think that Varsho and Chapman are the likeliest candidates. Maybe Berrios.
  10. Wow, good job Spanky! Want a milkbone? Oh, you're a good boy, aren't you? Yes you are. Stay in your lane, the adults are talking.
  11. I don't know if he's good or not. But he's in house and he cut his teeth with one of the most successful organizations in the sport. It seems likely he'd learn a thing or two. What I do know (or strongly suspect based on what we have seen) is that Atkins is NOT the answer. And I don't care what his position is with us, at the end of the day, his voice is not the one that matters. We don't know how he'd fare until he is given full autonomy.
  12. So Click is (allegedly) being considered for the Red Sox job. Another promising baseball mind from a cutting edge organization we passed up on just to wait for Ross Blame-the-coach-because-I-have-no-clue-what-my-team-is-doing Atkins to bring us to the promised land.
  13. Gausman Berrios Bassitt Kikuchi Romano Hicks Green Swanson Garcia Mayza Cabrera Kirk Heineman Vlad Bo Chapman Biggio Espinal Merrifield Belt Varsho Springer KK I think all those guys are locks. My guess for the last 3: Eden Schneider Richards
  14. Even the Twins have a better run differential than we do.
  15. No Judge tonight. Excellent.
  16. I really enjoyed Boston as well. I will say though that while I was at Fenway, there was an obviously Amish father and daughter sitting beside us who had somehow won tickets to the game. It was their first ever baseball game and it was pretty clear they didn't really understand many of the rules. A couple of dicks behind us were chirping them so bad that they had to leave in like the third inning. That said, I'm also not naive enough to believe that this behaviour couldn't have happened at any ballpark at any time.
  17. Your disdain for Seattle is exceeded only by your raging delirious loathing for anything Boston-reated.
  18. LOL. Thornton, Saucedo, and Leone. Who's next out of Seattle's pen, Biagini?
  19. I didn't know Trent Thornton was a Mariner.
