  1. I went to school for audio/video/tv production and took a few classes in actually being talent and it's not something everyone can do. Pretty much everything is scripted at least somewhat including live sporting events. If you have noticed for the most part most broadcasting teams have a mix of professional broadcasters and former players. Even though it's not baseball I think the best example of this I can remember would be Inside the NBA in the 2000s where Ernie Johnson played point guard in the broadcast with Kenny and Charles. He was the one that kept the show moving forward and everyone on target.
  2. I have a friendly bet with a coworker who is an A's fan that the Jays will win more games than them. When I told him that most publications rank the A's farm system bottom 10 in the league he was pissed. I enjoyed it.
  3. I think one of the issues with it is that it's just 3 former players and not a professional trained broadcaster amongst them.
  4. I'm kinda disappointed that MLB.TV doesn't televise spring training games unless they are live even after I got charged like $80 for half a season even though a full season is like $120.
  5. I'm assuming you're just talking Jays catchers in general and not just those drafted or signed as an IFA by the Jays because we traded for Reese.
  6. I think with how the roster is now I'd be interested in doing a piggy back situation a few times a week as we have a lot of multiple inning arms. Limit times through the lineup might help some of the guys.
  7. I probably would have liked to DFA Payamps or Waguespack before Fisher or Davis but I ultimately don't think it's a big deal either way.
  8. I'm not really into the Steam area of this but it's a really good game that I spend hours each week playing. Worth it.
  9. That'd be great. I wonder what he would cost with us taking on the next two years of the contract.
  10. I thought this was a pretty interesting read: https://www.wkyt.com/2020/09/10/woodford-countys-clinton-hollon-pitching-his-way-past-addiction/
  11. What are peoples thoughts on JBJ and Handsome Jake?
  12. I'd be curious to see what it would take to get Chris Archer up to Toronto.
  13. I'm not Miss Cleo but the answer will be terribly. It is a really odd hire unless their front office uses an OOTP system where next to his name his reputation is "Legendary" so they just figured he was the best.
  14. I agree. I'd have no problem with Bo being a guy who splits his time in the middle infield. The more versatility the better.
  15. Is the last time we had two quality catchers that could have been starters back with Pat Borders/Greg Myers?
  16. This game is blacked out in my area. Anyone have a stream?
  17. They may but I'd be interested on how they feel with the shortened season and expanded playoffs. If we do make the playoffs and extend our season they may be willing to open up the wallet a little bit considering that the Jays are basically free content for them.
  18. Um...it's 21 games in a 4 team round robin Indy league with a bunch of other minor leaguers who are in AA/AAA and out of his age group. Dalton Pompey isn't even hitting .100 in this league and he was a major league player at a time.
  19. I'm fine with this move as well. He has upside and I'd love to just punt either Drury or Panik off the roster and give Kevin Smith a chance to see what he has.
