    This is exactly right. From what I've heard/read he was told he couldn't tank (Tampa, Astros) for a top pick, and he couldn't go overslot to sign high potential high schoolers. One of the nice things about how the draft used to be was in the later rounds you could buy 1st/2nd round talent if you had the money. We didn't.

    Nessy was on the Canadians roster when I saw them a few years ago. Still the most hilarious baseball game I've been to. Nessy had like 3 errors that game. Anyone think that the announcer on MLB's coverage sounds like Jimmy Kimmel?

    While AA's splashes were exciting, it's nice to have a boss who is focused on creating a deep team. Hopefully flying under the radar and grabbing some decent players as depth will prevent the typical DFA whirlwind that we dealt with in the past.

    Those "alcohol induced rants" are what I use to determine that I don't have a drinking problem because I never do that. Don't steal that from me!

    He's good from the right side and if we are in a blow out/being blown out we could use him from the left side. He's basically two pitchers.

    I want Pat Venditte in our bullpen this year. I think his unique talent would be beneficial and the cost would be minimal.

    It's bad. There is no longer a "husky section" like there was when I was a fat kid. They are now just in the "Children's section." I tend to do my husky pants shopping early in the morning. I don't want people thinking I'm a diddler. Edit: If you know where to get 29X28 pants let me know.

    I know the whole PC thing annoys people but I do understand why Native Americans get upset over the names of the Indians and especially the Redskins. Redskins is a derogatory moniker. They don't like it in the same way I wouldn't like a team called San Francisco Faggots.

    I get that but because of having Dickey we can't necessarily get the best player. We have to get the best player who keeps the ball in front of him when Dickey throws it. I don't know if I'm explaining myself correctly here.

    Just throwing it out there but how good at framing does our backup have to be? Martin is excellent and I remember him having a ton of difficulties trying to frame Dickey.

    They are! One of the few places I can buy pants. Try being a 29/28. That measurement lines up with 16 Husky in the states. I buy my pants in the fat kid section.

    My bad. I'm Spanky deep in a bottle of whiskey. I could see him in the rotation for a year and a half and the pen the last half year of his contract.

    I think for the next year and a half he's in the rotation and the last year and a half he's more of a bullpen guy.
