  1. Tampa continues their collapse. After erasing a 3-0 deficit to tie the game at 3-3, Fausto Carmona serves up a granny.
  2. Not sure how serious you are with this (probably not very) I'm kind of sick of the Jays being the best 3rd/4th/5th place team.
  3. The AL wildcard race is bananas. KC won today, so....Cleveland, Baltimore, NY, KC all within 2.5 games of Tampa for that 2nd wild card. Texas lost today again, who is now only 1 in the loss column ahead of Tampa. So all told, you have Texas, Tampa, Baltimore, Cleveland, New York, and Kansas City within 4.5 games of each other for two spots.
  4. Starting in Tbay. s***.
  5. I thought that might go when he hit it. New York now 4 in the loss column behind Tampa Bay.
  6. It's amazing how they just don't understand. Votto being on base ALL THE TIME creates tons of rbi situations for the hitters behind him. Doesn't matter who drives in the runs as long as they're driven in.
  7. Tampa Bay is free falling Tom Petty style
  8. That's the kind of stuff I expected from Morris, but haven't heard much of it.
  9. It looks more like sweat than tears. Shoulda traded Janssen
  10. That would be awesome. Where are you hearing this?
  11. Another wild game in new york. Napoli grand slam ties it at 8-8
  12. Fire. And lots of it.
  13. He's the team's best hitter. Really become one of the league's elite the last couple years.
  14. I think it's the name. "Batting average" sounds like it should be really important.
  15. I don't think there's anyone who isn't in favour of it. It's just a question of when it's coming.....or if.
  16. McCann would be amazing. Obviously, he's the best on that list. But he'd cost a lot and for all we know wouldn't want to come here. In the slightly more reasonable sphere, someone like Ruiz or Pierzynski or even John Buck could possibly be had.
  17. It's amazing how fast things turn around. Tampa had that 22-5 run or whatever it was back in July. Nobody could beat them. Now they've lost 8 of 9 and are 12-18 in their past 30. Cleveland, Baltimore, NYY right up their ass.
  18. I remember a walk off homerun he hit against KC in the ninth in 1993. Right over the Kansas City Royals sign.
  19. And as far as he goes, he's looked pretty solid defensively, but his career minor league stats are pretty blah. And he's like 25, so he's even not really that young for a prospect. He likely won't hit enough. But at least it seems he has some D, unlike Thames
  20. I'm just going to keep rhyming it with coins
