    Francis vs. Sugano Berrios vs. Povich (L) Lucas (L) vs. ???. They don't have a 5th starter right now. They could skip this spot and go with Morton on 5 days rest but he's been awful. Gibson isn't ready. They could go with a 45 FV prospect they have in AAA. Probably a bullpen game?

    Manny Gonzalez should be sent straight to an El Salvadorian prison The most egregiously umpired game I've ever seen. He clearly had the Sox money line.

    I'm pissed so I did a quick tally myself by running through the gameday pitch by pitch. After a quick tally, the ump called 15 taken pitches incorrectly. THIRTEEN of those were against the Jays. Just 2 went against the Sox.

    Yes, exactly. Usually it's a ton of blown calls and the net result is fairly even. But he continuously squeezed Jays pitchers and expanded the zone against Jays batters.

    Yeah this game was just weird because they both started in the lineup together and we were down so when we subbed one out for an OF we subbed out the better fielder. Once Varsho is back, Wagner won't DH anymore (Santander will) and Clement and Wagner can be in more of a strict platoon and hopefully both are put in the positions where they excel more often

    Wagner/Clement platoon should be fine until the trade deadline and then we can reassess.

    I will say that Heineman needs to do a better job framing, he's keeping his body quiet but he's giving up on the pitches too quickly with his hands. Needs to hold it up there to entice the ump into making the call. And as I type that he hoses the runner good job

    Vlad does need to be better but right out the gate it's a blown first pitch strike call now he's in the hole and he's got to swing at that second pitch which was close enough for this ump to also call a strike
