The Yanks were down 2 runs late in one of those games and Girardi had rested studs yet he went with Kirby Yates who got shelled and the game was over. Think about it- you're bitching about a 4 out save. Just stop.

    Exactly. Look at Girardi last series. He saved his relievers the entire series (but for one inning of Betances) but they never had a late inning lead to use them. It was stupid.

    How is that relevant at all to what I just posted? lol I said he's a decent backend SP and you pull 6 innings worth of stats? Are you saying that proves that he's not a solid backend SP?

    He's a DH who failed a drug test and was worse than Edgar Martinez but for some reason I see him getting in to the HOF anyway.

    My position is that he is a reasonably paid backend starter and should be extended at a reasonable price. On this board since everyone finds him annoying that counts as "fanboyism." He's pitching a decent game and still getting s*** on that's how much he's hated. You can't ever even argue on his talent - just outside s*** like he's "annoying" or we gave up too much in a trade. Now you're restorting to calling me a fanboy because you can't really argue anything else.

    He failed a test but it was one of those tests that was done before the new PED policy as a way to gauge how rampant PEDs were. It was never supposed to be release but it was leaked anyway.
