    Well quit indirectly comparing them as well. One is a replacement level player and one is an aging star. It's retarded.

    Goins is a 0 WAR player. He's worth the league minimum. Tulo is probably going to be around a 3 WAR player. Criticize Tulo if you want but please, let's stop comparing him to Goins.

    Beltre just got a two year extension. Granted, he's older. But he also plays a position. Ortiz was pretty much one or two year extensions the entire back half of his career as well wasn't he? 4 or 5 for Bautista or EE is too much IMO. I mean maybe I'd go 4, maybe, and that's depending on what I would find out about team payroll. But it wouldn't end well.

    Why is that the case? Because framing is emphasize more now? So there are more good framers on teams and those who used to suck at framing have improved because its importance was realized?

    Yeah I think he'll get there. The Contract was fine it was just one year too long but it was the only way to get him. It's only been 2 to 3 weeks for him give him more time before we judge it.

    The projections have him no better than Barney or Alex Casilla who is in Buffalo. No better than a seldom used backup.

    Any word on the roster move yet? Not being able to pinch hit for one of the 4 replacement level players we had in the lineup tonight was not fun.

    Yeah I guess that is true. Just was thinking of the results not the process.

    It's not that Stroman is nibbling though is it? IMO it's that he is showing no variation in his location whatsoever. Everything is low, low, low and the hitters can key in on that. He needs to mix it up more. It's fine to go low but when you do it so often that hitters can completely ignore the upper half of the zone it's going to be easier for them to key in on every pitch. He wasn't throwing low as often last year as he is this year. They showed a heat map before the game and nearly everything was in the bottom half of the zone or lower.

    Floyd is better than a long reliever though. He's probably 4th on the pecking order after Osuna, Storen, Cecil.

    I mean I don't really mind him using his setup man there. Cecil and Floyd just f***ing sucked.

    Oh come on, it was not on Gibbons tonight. Cecil and Floyd had like 6 chances to get one out and they couldn't f***ing do it because they were both trash tonight.

    I see well that's a dumb rule. It's taking a little less than 48 hours to make the move then and cost us the ability to pinch hit late in the game with Smoak.

    Gibby didn't pinch hit late in the game for Goins or Barney. I guess with Martin out and Hutch up he only had a 2 man bench so I don't really blame him too much. I don't know what the hell happened with Hutch but if the FO had anything to do with that it was a big f*** up. We played with 23 guys tonight. EDIT: Was just explained to me that MLB won't clear the move til 1 pm tomorrow or something. Ridiculous.

    Another thing from this game is that Goins hit with a runner on base and two outs in the 7th. Then Barney and Zeke hit down by one in the 8th. (Thole not an option to pinch hit for with Martin unavailable.) I'll give Gibby the benefit of the doubt and say he didn't put Smoak in their to pinch hit is because he had a two man bench with Hutch still being up with the team and Martin unavailable. That one is on Atkins/Shapiro for not making the Hutch move in time.

    Gibby will give Bautista the day off tomorrow so he can keep Zeke in the lineup at leadoff.

    Lol geezus Saunders... I was wanting to move Bautista to DH and bring Pompey up but I think Pompey should replace Saunders who can DH. Saunders cannot move out there.
