    How much of a draw would Tebow be for minor league affiliates? If he's got any game at all surely some team will sign him for that reason alone. I think it'd be fun if the Jays signed him.

    Yeah it was pretty frustrating. It did seem to me like he was hitting his spots low in the zone and then would mix it up with a high fastball. There's really no excuse for not clobbering him but this is likely one of the better games he's pitched all year.

    As s***** as they are they have still won 42% of their road games. It's not inconceivable that they win 2 out of 3 games every once in a while, even on the road against a good team.

    Makes sense with no Saunders or Travis.

    I don't know about that. It's just supposed to be a tiebreaker among equal teams, not necessarily tip the scales so dramatically to one team over the others. If they gave C home field advantage for the single game they have to win then A would have to win a home and away and B would have to win two roads games. It's weird and there is probably no perfect way to do it but I think it's an alright setup.

    I wish they'd keep him full-time. He's every bit as deserving to pitch late innings as Benoit is.

    Loup isn't bad at all. In 218 IP he has a 3.38 xFIP. He's not even a complete LOOGY as his metrics vs righties aren't bad either.

    Upton over Saunders or Bautista in the lineup is worth something like 1 to 1.5 WAR. That's huge, so it's probably best to just keep him in there. Hear me out, but Zeke vs. righties over Upton might make some sense. Next week when we have September callups Pompey would be even better.

    !!! I actually did consider platooning him in some form with Upton. Same with Zeke.

    That's a pretty good lineup and I like 5-6-7 being fluid.

    Does Upton in RF over Saunders make sense? Upton has played a lot more LF in his career and Saunders more in RF. The Book would say Upton in RF but I don't know how much familiarity between the corner OF spots plays a role. I remember I played RF almost exclusively and I hated LF whenever I had to play there, for whatever little that is worth.

    I'd probably just go with something like the following. Since Martin is so hot I'd maybe consider him 6th. 1. DH- Bautista 2. 3B- Donaldson 3. LF- Saunders (L) 4. 1B- Encarnacion 5. SS- Tulowitzki 6. 2B- Travis 7. C- Martin 8. CF- Pillar 9. RF- Upton

    Feel free to post your ideal lineup statistically or one that is somewhat realistic given traditional lineup roles and how far Gibby is willing to go.

    Well he must have gotten a rush out of it but I agree, prob not worth it. But for a pro player who is always on the road it takes very little effort to get laid and getting caught is harder so they must think it's worth the risk.

    He's been horrible in big spots. Losses are a junk stat but he has 7 in 26 innings. That's kind of remarkable.

    Easily could have been a sweep. 6 game home stand with the Angels and Twins is nice though.
