  1. Gary Sanchez is going to get a good suspension. When Romine and Cabrera were rolling around on the ground he came in and threw a cheap shot at Miggy. Just saw the clip on The Score app.
  2. Stick a fork in 'em boys. This season is over. On the bright side we actually have some interesting September callups for the first time in what feels like forever.
  3. Yeah it was overturned after replay. Very very close play. Ball slicing down the left field line and when it landed it was mostly the black turf pellets that flew up. Didn't see any chalk. But I didn't see any green in between the ball and the line either. It was probably foul but I'm just not sure they had enough evidence to overturn it. Most here think they got it right though.
  4. Oh god, we hit Souza again...lol poor guy
  5. Bautista is such a statue. I thought for sure that was an out off the bat.
  6. I didn't see green in between the line and the ball though. The ball was clearly mostly in the green but I couldn't tell if was completely in the green. And god dammit, sexy Kevin K strikes again.
  7. I don't think that should have been overturned.
  8. They are going to f*** us here I know it.
  9. Great catch but Goins still should have tagged. EDIT: Actually just saw the replay lol I don't blame him
  10. He had bursitis earlier this year. He might have been pitching through it, hence his s*** numbers. He really hasn't been that bad the four previous years. Since he came back from his latest DL stint he's dominated in AAA. Maybe he can be the 1 WAR pitcher that he has been for the past four years. Looks good so far at least.
  11. Yeah he wasn't that bad in the 4 years prior to this one. If the Jays offer him a few mil he would probably accept. Looks like he has an option too. Maybe the Jays avoid arbitration with him by signing him for 3 million and he starts in Buffalo.
  12. Don't forget the glasses!
  13. Yeah I wouldn't be surprised to see them try but he could just try his luck in FA. This is a pretty big month for him money-wise.
  14. He's got one more year of arbitration left but since he made 5.7 mil this year I think he probably gets non-tendered. They probably picked him up for this pseudo-contention that we are in as he's better than Tepesch and Rowley.
  15. That's what I was thinking. Simply stat scouting him he looks pretty darn good.
  16. Using the advice you all gave me I was targeting Isaac Paredes, Mountcastle, Ryan Helsley and Pedro Avila in no specific order. Joey Wentz and Adonis Medina were just dropped. Fangraphs likes them, particularly Wentz who they rank #73 overall and I thought both looked pretty good as well. How would you compare those two pitchers to the 4 previous names I was considering? Thanks.
  17. A lot of this depends on ownership too. Do they want to compete for the next 2 to 3 seasons and are they willing to fund the payroll to do it? If so then a 6 for 180 for Donaldson through his age 37 season would make some sense if they are willing to provide the necessary commitment. Or would they rather take a step back and take the stress off of running a high payroll for a couple of years while we rebuild to coincide with Vlad Jr.'s arrival? Then trading Donaldson makes more sense.
  18. I don't think it's wise to make decisions about MVP caliber players based upon the defense of an 18 year old prospect, especially when the reviews of that prospect's defense are mixed. I wouldn't be opposed to both exploring an extension and shopping him via trade though.
  19. I don't think 5 for 125 gets it done. Maybe if you tack that on to the end of his upcoming season it would be a little more enticing. But if he'd do it I would take that in a second. Got to be a lot of surplus value on that, even if the last year two gets ugly.
  20. I like the deal more for the Cavs but I see why the Celtics did it. Kyrie is a much better long term asset than Thomas. The criticism I have for Ainge is how bad this deal looks when compared to the Jimmy Butler deal. They could have got Butler for much much less than what they gave up for Kyrie. This is a good deal for the NBA though. Might actually be worth tuning in to the Eastern Conference playoffs for the first time in a while when the improved Cs take on the Cavs in what should a rivalry.
  21. Nice road trip boys. Season over.
  22. Yeah and maybe when you drag him to be a hitter his hitting stats pop up? If he's only batting every 5 days then why bother but if he's getting semi-regular AB's as a DH or something then they might want to do something. That said I am operating under the assumption that he's a good hitter, you know more about him than I do. If he only bats every 5 days when he pitches then they might just make him a pitcher.
  23. I bet they make him a "SP, UT" to start.
  24. Thanks for the tips everyone. Might target Paredes, Mountcastle and Helesley for now.
  25. Unfortunately he's not.
