    Very slow for the Jays and pretty much the rest of the league. I think Davis signing might be the first top FA 10 signing. Boring.

    Yep. It's pretty frustrating too because the team finally has a good core and ownership is willing to spend. The two rarely converge like this but they are f***ing it up.

    Factor in Desmond last year and the Rockies have spent 170 million on 4 guys who might never put up even a 2 WAR season. Yikes.

    How do the Rockies spend 100 million and not end up with a guy like Cain or similar talent? He's a great fit there. It's so dumb it hurts. I told the Monforts to give me a job but they refused. Probably because Dick's ex-wife is a client. Of course all my dumbass Rockie-fan friends are praising the moves. Dumbest fanbase in baseball. They make your average Blue Jays fan look like Bill James.

    MikeM and Jim would both be good candidates to become owners. Seems like Jim is fine with deferring to Mike this time around but next spot that opens up should go to Jim if he still wants it.

    We are sweating out these free agents. The prices will soon drop like crazy and we'll be getting All-Stars to play for us for peanuts.

    I'd definitely kick the tires on moving him. In this market he could fetch quite the haul.

    This team is a lot better than we think. Last year's team was fatally flawed because we had so many 0 to negative WAR players on the team. Replacing them with even average players will improve the team a ton. Replace them with players like Cain or Nunez and it's like adding premier All-Star talent to the roster in terms of what you would normally expect in terms of improvement.

    Cain Nunez or Kendrick Hand Depth SP and RP signings That would be one awesome offseason and I think we would be contenders at that point. Would love to see a JD extension as well.

    Yeah if Jake McGee is worth 27 mil then Osuna is worth a ton in a trade.

    Only got 77. In my defense I did it while my girlfriend read a pointless buzzfeed list to me.

    Make them throw in Gyroko and Weaver? And then maybe see if they'd take back Morales and/or Tulo?

    Yeah I don't know the money exchanging hands but Longo is owed a lot of money still. He hasn't been that much better than Frazier over the past couple of years and I bet he signs for a lot cheaper. Getting Arroyo on top of the salary dump isn't that bad.

    Seems like so many teams are rebuilding (giving the non-rebuilding teams a chance to fill their holes via trade) or are patiently waiting to sign someone. I think there are going to be some good deals coming up.

    The Rays are going to take a step back and rebuild it looks like. Sounds like the Orioles might be doing the same. Do the Jays follow them or do they chase the Yanks and Red Sox? There is room for all 3 to make the playoffs.

    It'd be pretty tough. We would be talking about taking a 3-6 WAR hit, depending on how much major league talent we got back. We are a fringe WC team as is, that would be tough to overcome.

    Yeah you can't play Pearce in the OF very much. He's terrible. Maybe you can against LH pitching sometimes. I truly would just bench Morales. If the rest of the roster is versatile enough it wouldn't kill the team to have a solid bat on the bench like that. With the right moves this team could be a WC contender. Adding middle infield depth and improving the corner OF situation is A LOT of added WAR. If Sanchez can come back healthy that's even more. This isn't a bad team.
