Yeah I mean by the time Tulo is ready again, let's be optimistic and say he's ready by August, someone else could very well be hurt and Tulo will be needed.
When JD comes back it might not be a bad idea to keep Gurriel and put Travis on the DL with a phantom injury just to try and give him a week and a half of rest/maintenance.
Tatis Jr. is now over 100 ABs in AA and he's been terrible. By no means am I trying to slam him as a prospect but when compared to our own Top 10 teenage wunderkind it shows just how good Vlad is.
Yeah he was basically ready to move up the second he was put into that level. 4 year college player who tore up the Big 12 as a senior. He's a total non-prospect though IMO. College senior who signed for peanuts after we drafted him and he's almost 24 now.
Is Vlad's defense good enough to play 3B full-time next year? He's not going to be a -20 UZR type of fielder is he? From what I've read he should be competent enough there, I'm just wondering if he'll be a big league 3B at age 20.
So September callups don't matter for service time right? I'd call him up in September and then assuming Donaldson leaves I'd call him up for good next April or May (whenever the service time manipulation sets in).
