  1. We need left handed hitters not another righty
  2. The team that signs Nimmo to a 100M is going to regret it no later than year 2. Maybe sooner. Do not want.
  3. Did we really have to trade him to flipping Seattle? Going to have to skip him when we start beanballing their entire lineup next year.
  4. Finally someone gets it. Hey BTW do you have a link for that website where you can find a wife? Looks like the Terminator is headed for another divorce.
  5. If his last name wasn't Biggio none of you would care. But because he's the son of a Hall of Famer and had a good year with a live ball in 2019 you all act like he's some legit MLB asset. There's a reason the Jays brass doesn't play him. The guy is a slap hitting flyball hitter with a weak arm. He can take a walk but his OBP is still going to suck because he struggles to put up xBA's north of the Mendoza line. Last year he was below Whit, Espinal and even Tilapia on the depth chart and this year he'll get passed by Barger and others. Trade this guy to the Astros for a ham sandwich for all I care.
  6. They seem to really like Whit but he makes the most money and maybe after the good finish to the year they can get more for him than they gave up? But again, they seem to like him a lot. Biggio, on the other hand, they clearly do not. I kid about him a lot but he was buried on the depth chart all year and couldn't even beat out Tapia for playing time. Granted, the entire industry might be pretty down on Biggio so they might not get anything for him via trade but it seems like he's clearly the low man on the totem pole and obvious trade bait so I would think he is most likely to go. I actually think trading Espinal makes a lot of sense as he would likely bring back the most value. Whit could start the year as the primary 2B with the expectation that Barger will be up some time during the year.
  7. ^Still salty about Kirk winning the Silver Slugger
  8. At this point Whit and Espinal are part-time starting players IMO. Whit can be LF/2B and a backup CF and Espinal can be 2B/3B and backup SS. Biggio is a clear backup who can fill in at 2B/3B/LF.
  9. Yeah seems fine to me.
  10. Biggio in CF? Are you guys high? He's fine as a bench player who can play LF, 2B and 1B but he's not good. He can take a walk and I think he's pretty decent at 2B but his batted profile is truly awful and he has a very weak arm. He's an extreme flyball hitter but without the exit velocity to make it count for anything. Deadening the ball killed him.
  11. Wow well if he can stick at SS he's quite the prospect then.
  12. Craig Biggio's son moving further and further down the depth chart. Just non-tender him already.
  13. He played 60 games at SS last year and 42 at 3B. He also DH'd 23 times but he never played 2B. I'm not sure how his defense is though. Does anyone have insight on that?
  14. I haven't really seen anything other than the fact they have started the renovations. Would be cool if they had a livecam or daily/weekly updates or something.
  15. I was in the klink this weekend due to a little misunderstanding that I had over a game of pool this past Thursday. Let's just say if we are playing for money you better not cheat and leave it at that. That's all resolved though so I thought I'd get all the Jansen fanboys caught up on who the best Catcher on the team is because there is no way they were celebrating this historic win for Kirk without me around.
  16. Will be interesting to see what they have up their sleeves in advance of tomorrow. Jays also in a but if a pinch with the 40 man roster so I wouldn't be surprised to see something on the smaller side from our end too.
  17. Rangers going to dole out a billion dollars in FA contracts in two offseasons to finish .500 next year
  18. That’s ridiculous amounts of money for him. There’s been years where he doesn’t even look like a big leaguer.
  19. Heaney would interest me greatly if he signs for 1 year 12 mil, or 2 years 20 mil like Fangraphs thinks. Signing him for 3 years, 42 mil like TradeRumors thinks is kind of scary.
  20. No one predicted us to sign Eovaldi but for 2 years 34 mil I would definitely be interested as well.
  21. Stripling at 2 years, 18 mil would be a steal. I think it might take a 3rd year to get that done but I'd also consider that as well. He seems to have improved by simply throwing his best pitches more and he was a legit #3 SP this year. He's like half the price of Bassitt and I'm not sure he's any worse. Other guys we are predicted to sign: -Thor: I don't see any chance in hell of that happening. We didn't even want him for a no-name prospect at the deadline. -Benitendi: I'm not a huge fan of his but if it only took 4 years and 54 mil (13.5 AAV) for his age 28-31 seasons I'd probably do that. -Montero & Estevez: Hard pass at those prices. They don't even strike that many guys out. -Michael Brantley: 1 year 15 mil? If Gurriel or Teoscar are traded I'd consider it. I suppose if one of Jansen or Kirk is gone could consider then too. But if he just adds to the current DH/OF logjam then pass. -Clevinger: For one year 10 mil? Ok
  22. I didn't realize he hadn't been there that long. Yeah probably not that big of a deal to see him go.
