  1. Ok my bad it isn't literally every single day. But it's quite often.
  2. The here we go again is because we have this discussion every single day lol
  3. The point of your post was to compare our offense to theirs and you did so by showing how our #9 hitter is similar to their #5/6. Now you want to talk about which player you would rather have which is a different discussion. But to answer that question I'd rather have Kiermaier since he has out WAR'd Lourdes every single year since Lourdes' debut in 2018.
  4. With analysis like that you're going to have to excuse me for disagreeing with your baseball takes every once in a while.
  5. Sil disproving his own point by showing how our number 9 hitter is about as good as the guy who spent most of the year batting #5 for them lol
  6. You D-Bag fanboys keep pimping Carroll, Marte and Walker but let's face it, they are pretty similar to Vlad, Bo and Belt no matter who is ultimately better. Our trio probably projected better but theirs was slightly better this year due to Vlad's down year (a down year where he still hit about as well as Walker did). So I look forward to the results of your study but even if having top heavy hitting is better, their top 3 is pretty damn close to ours anyway. And I'm talking hitting only not baserunning and defense (which helps the D-Backs best players' WAR greatly). And why cap it at top 3? Why not Top 4 or 5 to determine who has the more top heavy hitting? Oh yeah, you guys keep bringing up the "top 3" because it fits your narrative. If you expand it to 4 and 5 then all of the sudden we probably gain the edge in "top heavy" hitting.
  7. Here we go again...
  8. Yeah we probably miss the playoffs if we trade for him instead of playing Schneider
  9. That's a great idea. Did you come up with that on your own? I'm impressed.
  10. Ok this guy needs a timeout
  11. These workouts and dieting could be good, even if it's his brother and sister and law. I don't think it takes a genius to get in shape nor does it take a genius to tailor the workouts to baseball either. I'd prefer it was with someone with a proven track record but as long as he takes it serious I'm sure the 3 of them can get him into shape. But that's only half the battle for him. His pitches flattened out a lot so he's got to find the mechanics that he was using in 2022. That's where you want to see him in a driveline type atmosphere.
  12. Hmmm....better than nothing I suppose
  13. He's looking skinnier already. I've seen enough. I'm penciling him in as my number 5 next year.
  14. NYY keep trotting Cashman out there year after year
  15. Creating something out of thin air is as much a result of necessity as it is anything else. Baltimore simply has to because they are cheapskates. If the Jays have a hole at DH, Atkins isn't going to be dumpster diving for the Ryan O'Hearns of the world to fill it. Instead he signed Brandon Belt on a 1 year deal and he pumps out 2.3 WAR in 100 games. He also got 45 homers out of Semien on a one year deal and a Cy Young out of Robbie Ray on a 1 year deal. For a top 10 payroll that kind of stuff is similar to creating something out of nothing.
  16. Yeah exactly. His platoon splits were totally wasted in the playoffs (oh wait, the Twins started righties both games). For sure. He's not a difference maker with the stick but Ketel Marte and Christian Walker totally are.
  17. Yeah, exactly bud. Let's be realistic. The Jays offense struggled and don't have high end bats to make it far in the postseason. The Diamondbacks's bats never struggled and they have plenty of "high end bats". All we have to do is just ignore the numbers, make strawman arguments, and then change the parameters of the debate to all of the sudden start comparing Jays hitters to Yordan Alvarez (while ignoring how the D-Bags hitters compare to him)! It's crystal clear!
  18. It’s all good, where ya going?
  19. Yeah exactly. Brandon Belt (138 wRC+ this year, wRC+ 125 in his career and a 2x WS champ) isn't a high end bat that leads to success in the playoffs. Neither is Bo (125wRC+ this year, 127 career). And definitely not Vlad (118 this year, 130 career). But the Diamondbacks on the other hand, DEFINITELY have the big bats needed. Corbin Carroll (133 wRC+, 131 career) is that guy. So is Ketel Marte (127 wRC+ this year, 113 career). Christian Walker is that guy as well (120 wRC+ this year, 111 career). Those are the star bats necessary for playoff success.
  20. https://www.sportsnet.ca/mlb/article/mapping-out-the-off-season-10-hypothetical-paths-ahead-for-the-blue-jays/ This is kind of a fun article.
  21. Checkmate, D-bags fans.
  22. So what you’re saying is that they played over 3 months of s*** ball to go from leading the division to having a negative run differential? And that’s supposed to make me think they they are good? I think jt actually proves the opposite
